This is probably the one instance where I don't really blame Dream for walking away from Orpheus. We saw that Dream really loved Orpheus...he was much lighter around his son-he was also chuckling and smirking, which is very much not like him - I truly think Orpheus brought out a lighter side to Dream, which only a child can do really....so I think when Orpheus practically rejected him and told him that he was no longer his son, Dream was incredibly hurt by that....but more than that, Orpheus was a full grown man - who was given agency to make his own choices. Orpheus took that agency and made all the wrong choices. Dream did create a priesthood to care for his son but knew that he could not be around his son any longer because all Orpheus would do would be to ask his father to kill him...and not only is that the worst thing for a father to hear, but it is also against the rules for an Endless. We know from last season that spilling family blood would be terrible - so Dream did the only thing he really could. He left Orpheus to deal with his own decisions. It may seem cruel, but I actually think this is the most human we've ever seen Dream. He was rattled and shook by the mere memory of his son, I can't imagine if he stayed to care for Orpheus what that Dream would look like....the dreaming would likely be decimated...I don't think Dream would have been able to carry out his duties for humanity if he was plagued by the desperate pleadings of his son, day in and day out. However, I do truly feel bad for Orpheus...he was grieving and making horrible choices....I actually blame Death and Destruction for helping him on that path to self-destruction....If I was Dream I would never forgive them...but again it was Orpheus' choice...but I think it should have been up to Death and Destruction to really get him to understand that choice since he was willing to listen to them...he was no longer willing to listen to Dream since he said he wouldn't go to the underworld for him. All in all, this is one of my favorite episodes of the entire show...the acting from Tom Sturridge just really starts to his peak levels in this episode!

This (and next episode) are probably my favourites of the season so far.
The final scenes we got with Wanda were great, and everything they said about her life and her identity.
We have heard of Orpheus before, as well as Dream´s ex-wife Calliope. She was a part of the bonus episode of season 1, the muse that got trapped, just like Dream, by a writer and who he saved. In that episode he also mentioned that they should perhaps grief their son together sometime.
Also yes, Orpheus and Eurydice are a well known greek myth.
I love Orpheus´s song, its so good! And I love the choice that they made him sing in greek.
Delirium dropped some very interesting information near the end here. She mentioned that she used to be "Delight" before she became Delirium. And she seemingly can force herself to be a bit more... put together rather than... delirious. With the eye colour change and forcing herself to look "more normal" even if it hurts her.
