As for the live action, I won’t be reacting to it since I already saw it in theatres and it’s pretty much an exact copy of the animated movie. I feel like nothing could top the original trilogy for me 💜

At my first watch, I was a little conflicted about the ending like I didn't know if I liked that Hiccup and Toothless separated for so long but after watching it again, I have accepted it more. It's basically the equivalent to letting a wild animal back into the wild after caring for it in a sanctuary. Eventually, they need to be free into the world or in this case, to be among their kind. I'm happy they eventually reunited and I like to think eventually they were able to have the opportunity to see each other more often and this wasn't a one time reunion. I loved watching these movies with you, Rukiya! Will you be reacting to the live action as well?

It really shows how Hiccup's matured, realizing he can't protect the dragons forever, and that keeping them so close to home, is actually putting them in more danger. So, he let's them be free. And he and Toothless both lead their own tribes and start their own families. It's beautiful. Also, I highly recommend the other HTTYD media, the shorts, and the Riders of Brrk and Race to the edge tv show. They're a great time.
