Oh Shiv...
This dinner was a delicious study in tension. And also proof why Shiv does not have what it takes yet to take over (will she ever? time will tell). She could not combat her own anxiety and her need of Logan's validation almost ruined the deal.
Also great point that she is super thin-skinned and while she is ready to lash out (on Tom, on her brothers, even her father) she cannot take any criticism herself.
The fact that Connor somehow was the one who successfully convinced designated Pierce cousin was astonishing. I guess he needed a win, good for him.
Ken continues his spiral. Again, I do not love character, but the actor aces the role, and his story is just a deep tragedy.
I always see Pierce family as just better polished at PR but not necessarily that better as people versus Roys. The bit asking the housekeeper to join for the drink and then doing that all show with going to kitchen to pick up the meal and carry it out to applause just rubbed me wrong way. Like if you value your employees maybe let them present their work, like people usually appreciate chefs. Why doing this weird 'we are so approachable' bit. I actually prefer brutal cynicism of Roys to this.
Fantastic reaction as always!
