Jace going with Valentine on the one hand frustrates me, but on the other, it makes sense. Like he doesn´t like him, and doesn´t believe in his ideals. But he is his father, and he raised him. And while the Lightwoods took him in, it´s hard to completely revert the damage Valentine already caused when Jace was young and formative. And besides, Robert and Maryse also don´t seem like that great at showing love to their children... Better than Valentine, for sure! But also not the best.
