2024-10-01 13:01:55 +0000 UTCalec is my fave too so you are not alone. like beny said he’s definitely a fan favorite. jace getting after alec in this episode when it was all clary’s fault is so annoying. i don’t understand why he’s so obsessed with her and constantly siding with her with no consideration for alec and his family. jace and clary in general are the worst part of the show for me. i think jace improves as a character later but in s1 especially he frustrates me so much.

I´m also not crazy about the Jace/Clary thing, and Jace really can be irritating, but that´s just his character. Little clarification about what Valentine is doing, they mentioned he tries to create an army. So he is basically trying to create more Shadowhunters out of mundanes. Hence his experiments that usually result in gruesome deaths. That´s why he says they will be among angels, because Shadowhunters are half angel, while for example warlocks (like Magnus) are half human half demon and seelies are half angel half demon.
