yay glad you liked it!! i remember being so obsessed with the movie growing up and so i had high hopes for this show and it truly did not disapoint. the pilot won me away but yeah as beny said, the movie is its own thing/adaption of the book by anne rice and the show is bascially just a new version but queerer regarding lestat & louis romance/love story. as for jacob anderson (louis) he's such a outsanding actor, i've been blown away by his performance. cannot wait for monday.

2024-08-16 12:44:25 +0000 UTCThis show is so incredibly good! And it´s already signed up for a 3rd season! And how they filmed it and the acting is all very very good. The old movie isn´t connected, it has the same story as the series, except this show is clearly explicitly leaning into the queerness of it all and Louis and Lestat´s relationship. So I would probably recommend not watching the movie again since it would basically just give you an overview of plotpoints that the show will repeat anyway.
