"Messing with time can have major consequences...." and yes it ended happy but will it end happy when all's said and done? I don't know..... I guess we'll have to see what happens in the sequal!

I thought the characters were good, the actors were great, and the premise was really good, but I dont think it met it's fullest potential. Honestly I think it would benefit if this is the pilot of a series so we can expand on the characters. Also, I want more stuff centered on Merlin Academy. I feel like Jaladdin would be the "it" couple but Malades would be it's parallel of the "cool" couple lol I want to see their love story The last Five Years style lol I honestly really love the Queen's performance, I'm a little sad she changed at the end because I really liked her ruthlessness. (Oh, oh! Maybe that's why she turned evil? Because ruthlessness if mercy upon ourselves? ;P) I think out of the younger cast my favorite potrayal was Ella, I really like the emotion she conveyed when she talked about her life. I think my favorite of the songs are the same as you, though I think Hands dirty is my favorite. I like all the costumes, but Chloe's wig was a bit much, especially in that scene when the sing/fight. I liked it, I liked the style, but you could tell there were two different wigs she wore. Honestly, I kind of wish she was blonde with blue tips or streaks, just to have SOME connection to Chad. Also the glass sneakers/slippers, they looked cool, but they didn't look like glass. One thing I like about Descendants is that a lot of the Fandom likes to pair the kids up with OUAT characters as their parents and usually the casting fits really well and I think they did really good casting this time around as well. Red looked like she could be either Cora's daughter or Anastasia's (depending on which queen you'd want her mother to be. Though since Bridgette is the Queen of Hearts it would be Cora) ohh...Regina and Zelena's younger sister maybe? Lol I wish we saw the ball, especially with the lead up to it. I want to see Fae help Ella with her dress (maybe that's her first spell that went right?) Also, it's kind of weird they won't show Ursula..like they could have easily made Darla into Uma's mom, they looked a lot alike...so it's kind of strange...also, with the wig they gave young Ella, it was more green than blue and it makes me wonder if she's related in some way? Idk. Shays rambling, anyways, great reaction!!

I also expected to at least see the dance happening, maybe get to see Ella warming up to Charming etc. But I guess they definitely set this up for a sequel and that´s why they rushed to the end? Because they knew they got another 90 minutes to flesh this story out. On it´s own it´s okay, I guess. Although I have to say, they made Bridget feel way TOO NICE, like I don´t believe that she would turn evil because of that prank, she would be hurt, but come on, she was so nice and still got Ella so she should have gotten over this. In general a problem with time travel stories is that they have to be thought through well or they fall apart. And I think this story kinda falls apart if you think too much about it. Like, how did they originally pull off this prank? Let´s assume the girls don´t go to the past. The VKs steal successfully the book, they attempt to open it -> they get frozen and caught by Merlin. They shouldn´t have been able to succeed in the original timeline and everything Red and Chloe did should be kinda pointless.
