They also won the MTV Music Award for best musical scene in a TV show or movie and were all over the iTunes charts, especially the soundtrack chart. They pushed Hamilton out of #1 in soundtracks for some time. It's the best charted Netflix soundtrack to date. ...It's been a bit since I've checked on the guys' social media (I mostly followed Charlie and he had gone silent) so I'm totally going to have to catch up. Last I'd heard, Kenny had been trying to shop it around but Netflix wouldn't give up the rights and the guys were trying to nicely tell people to move on because they had to get on with life. I'd love for that to have changed, though. I mean Kenny did say that when he loses hope would be when he'd tell us what was supposed to happen in the 5 seasons he'd planned but not before that, and the guys still weren't allowed to say.

It got VERY similar vibes to Julie and the Phantoms (minus the musical stuff) so found family, ghosts etc. And I don´t want to lose another great show, so, if you haven´t already, maybe give it a watch, it´s great!

2024-05-06 17:56:27 +0000 UTCThis show had like 13 Emmy nominations and won 3-4 of them. It´s insane that Netflix didn´t continue it. The songs are great, but nothing else is to be expected with Kenny Ortega. So, one of the reasons people speculated about a 2nd season is that some of the actors posted on instagram stuff with "The Band is Back" playing in the background. And... come on, that song is too on the nose to not be meant as a teaser. I mean it got lyrics like "We gotta get ready, cause it´s been years" which it literally HAS BEEN YEARS by now.
