Please do a reaction to Mary & George. It is a period piece but not like the others. You fall in love with the characters and as you follow their journey, you get disappointed but still love them. Clearly a case of I'll always love you, but I don't like you right now. Of course, we've got the beautiful Mr Galitzine to oggle at in a role totally opposite from what we are used to. The man has range. I think you will enjoy the drama and twists and turns of a mother and son with a very complicated relationship and love.

I've read the book and would definitely recommend that you read it. There are slight differences which I feel does not take away from the book in the movie. And one big difference which I will not spoil for you. 😉 A significant difference for me was Hayes' age which was 20 in the book. Definitely a necessary change. Overall I think this was a good adaptation. The movie stands very well on its own even if you have not read the book. I enjoyed the movie so much and your reaction made it even more special.
