Butterfly- Thank you so much for another great reaction for Haven, Jessie!! Season one, episode two, titled... Butterfly. I am so happy to hear that you really enjoyed this episode, and that you're intrigued by this show and all its mysteries left to unfold!! :) I really enjoy this episode a lot! I especially love learning more about Nathan, and how he came to discover he couldn't feel anything when he was just a young boy. I love the moment in the very end between him and Audrey, as Nathan does his best to try to share what little even he knows and understands about the "troubles" inflicting a number of people throughout all of Haven. I also love the overall storyline as Audrey and Nathan try to figure out what's happening this time in their town with all the mysteries occurring around the butterflies. I love how at first we're led to believe it's Reverend Driscoll, then his daughter, and the store owner, only to discover that it's the daughter's foster son all along. And that he is out of control over his mysterious ability upon him dreaming and having nightmares whenever he's asleep due to the guilt he feels over his parents' deaths. Very sad. I also love that we learn more about what have been named, "the troubles", certain people like Nathan, like the boy in this episode, and the woman in the Pilot episode, all who have abilities or inflictions caused by what's still a mystery. And the Rev believes that those with these "troubles", are all sinners, being punished by God. Hence why the Rev hates Nathan, and why Nathan hates Driscoll. I hate seeing how hurt Nathan looks as the Rev is talking down to him and treating him like someone who is all alone as he has been for many, many years, and is hated even by God. It's so sad. And lastly... I love your comparison of Audrey with Emma from Once Upon a Time!! You're absolutely right, Jessie. Their characters are most certainly very similar, and I look forward to watching you get to know Audrey Parker, as well as Nathan Wuornos more! Thank you again, so much, my dear friend!
