2024-04-09 18:47:59 +0000 UTCI agree with you about it seeming like the parents know more about their "connection", and it seemed like they were separated for that more than a divorce or anything. For people you know, Yok of course. I've heard a lot of people say this is their favorite character of his, so I'm excited to see why. It made me chuckle when you mentioned thinking the garage owner was a parent from another show, it's Daddy Dan from Only Friends, haha. Even though this show was from before, I feel like he definitely looks older. In Only Friends it seemed like an exaggeration that he was "so much older" than Nick, but I definitely see it more here. The actor also played Jim's ex in Moonlight Chicken, so you were right about him being in that too. Then for Gram, it's Boeing from Only Friends. The characters are so different they give off a completely different vibe to me. I didn't realize until now that Only Friends was a little Not Me reunion, lol.
