2024-02-05 16:29:06 +0000 UTCI can’t remember if I said it already, but “Skam” means “shame” in Norwegian. Each season, which is based on a different character, explores something about them that they are “shameful” of or feels “shame” towards. They never say it specifically for any of the character, so each “shame” is up to interpretation. But I have always felt like Eva’s was her insecurities. She goes along with people a little too easily, she kinda changes based on who she’s around or with, feels guilty about how she got with Jonas, etc. It is a really good plot twist to learn about what actually happened with Ingrid. Because as an audience, we spent the whole season judging Jonas for something we aren't quite sure he did, then we learn how Eva really isn't that much better than him. They do this all throughout the show, but it's little parts that this that really make the show about empathy and trying to understand where someone is coming from and not holding an action against them forever.
