oh i am so glad to hear you're doing the second one!!! i truly love it. it's def not as talked about as this 1st one (esp when you consider how popular the netflix series is which is def different to the mini-series), but i have such a soft spot for the 2nd movie and im so glad you picked up how this story isn't just about Anne, but how she affects everyone around her. At first glance you might think it's just a story about her life, but it's equally as much as about how the people around her change as well.
