There is no denying that she loves her children, so I think she is using that excuse to stay instead of it being her love for Melanie and wanting their relationship to work.

2023-10-07 01:19:39 +0000 UTCThis finale felt really calm compared to some of the other finale´s we had for this show. I´m uncertain about Lindsay´s desire to end things with Melanie. I don´t really want to think she wants it. I think the problem is she expected forgiveness immediately, which is unreasonable. And when Melanie was justifiably upset and didn´t just move on like nothing happened Lindsay just responded with "Oh you don´t want me, so I guess we should break up" Instead of actually putting in the work to make it work. It´s bizarre. Because if Lindsay didn´t want this relationship she had the perfect opportunity to leave when the guy asked her to come with him. But she chose Melanie, just to give up on the relationship relatively soon after anyway.
