Pages 35, 36, and 37 came out really easily so there aren't really any extras to share, but that changed a little with these next batch of pages.

Grillby is practically absent in this part of the story. His character comes across as highly aloof and removed to me. I tried to include him during Sans' dialogue, but it pulled too much attention away from Sans himself, and I can't imagine a monster in chronic searing pain bothering to look remorseful. Grillby was absent during Undyne's last visit and played no role in the façade anyway, so I decided not to include him with the guilty audience.
For a while page 38 began with this shot; Sans' profile growling into empty space as the rest stand anxiously behind him. But this angle is too distant; Sans looks miniscule, and I preferred starting the page with the reader in the audience instead.
A spooky drafted panel, ended up scrapped for the final.
I drew Sans messing with the ketchup bottle as Db apologizes to him, as a reminder of Aliza's kindness. But I'm glad it was scrapped for a more interesting shot. The drafted panel here is very similar to previous panels of the comic, and we see him mess with the bottle in the final panel anyway. More importantly, I prefer to keep Sans' intentions vague. Aliza's kindness is not the main motivator behind what he's about to do next.
