I love the interaction between Leda and Brian. They truly are the evil twins and Lindsay's and Melanie's worst nightmare 😃

It's ok! Honestly it's better that you told me otherwise I would've kept wondering lol I think Deb's reaction was a bit surprising, but at the same time totally understandable. She has seen the worst of the worst side of this and to know that the 1 thing you love more than anything else in the world has the risk of possibly being exposed to that is scary.

Yes, I agree that it is such an interesting perspective to have 2 very similar yet very different situations involving this. That's also a good point, Michael was raised around someone with AIDS, so while the risk isn't as great as having a physical relationship with someone, there still is a risk, yet a greater understanding of what is involved when living with this.

whoops at you not knowing ben is the guy from the picture and me accidentally confirming it last episode the episode titles really are something else. i’m so curious who came up with them since it wasn’t the writers. i remember the creators talking about the outrage from fans about debbie’s reaction to the ben and michael situation because it’s debbie, she’s usually so accepting and understanding, but she’s human and flawed just like everyone else. i think her stance is understandable in this episode but it is ultimately michael’s choice who he wants to be with not hers. it’s his life. ben is such a great guy and michael seems to really like him and they seem to connect on so many levels so that ending scene really did hurt. you can’t fault michael’s reaction because he was shaken seeing the pills on top of everyone else’s opinion. it was too much. hopefully they’ll be able to work things out though. i too love when the ending credits are changed from music to extended audio of the last scene of the episode. i can think of at least one more moment like that on this show. lindsay’s parents paying for her sisters multiple weddings but not even pitching in a little for hers is so frustrating. it not being legal somehow makes it not real but her sister can marry multiple men and they consider those real knowing they won’t work out? mel and linds have been together almost a decade. that’s as real as it gets. and the crack about almost being grandparents when gus exists is frankly disgusting. hoping we never have to see them again. brian and leda meeting was everything i wanted it to be. they give off such similar vibes and are both so hot. i need more scenes! “i want you safe and i want you around for a long time” 🥹 yeah that one gets me too. brian you can’t just say things like that and expect me to be okay.

Remember when this show wasn't so sad?! Lol, I always forget how much some of these episodes pull at my heart. I really like how they show how different generations deal with a lot of these issues. Like we have seen Vic and how he deals with being positive, which relates a lot to the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, and now we get to see Ben, seeing how people in the early 2000s deal with being positive, which is very different since there are new drugs and stuff. Like Vic, we can really see how 'sick' he is a lot of the time, how he needs care sometimes still, etc., where Ben comes across as just your "normal guy", since that's what being positive sometimes looks like when you are young, healthy, and have the medication to help you. It's a really interesting perspective. I also think since Michael was raised around someone with AIDS, he is knowledgable enough to truly understand what it means. I think Debbie and the others are kinda downplaying that knowledge a bit. I love that Lindsay stands up against her parents. It's sad, but sometimes people just don't come around. I'm kinda glad they show that, rather than her parents just suddenly accepting her because of Melanie's talk with them. I love Brian and Justin. You're right, they just match together so well. And, with this episode and the last couple, it's crazy (but also really great) to see Brian treat Justin with care and affection. Also I just love Justin's reactions to anything, haha.
