It is astounding to me that everyone acknowledged Justin's trauma but seems to skip over the trauma that Brian suffered. Michael only mentions it once and Debbie dismissed it. For all his bravado, Brian is still a young man that witnessed a violence perpetrated on someone he loves and nobody thinks that his withdrawal and self-destructive behavior is a trauma response? This will mess him up even further because Jennifer confirmed what he thought all along. My poor boy with his bruised soul that everyone stomps on đ đą

Melanie and Brain ARE so much a like is so many ways! That's probably partly why Lindsey was attracted to her with Brian being someone she loves so much.

2023-05-08 19:46:21 +0000 UTCsave the last dance for me really was the perfect song choice for the prom dance and i love that you knew it and loved it. glad i can share the original music choices with you and you get to experience both. these arc of episodes really are some of my absolute favorites so i love that youâre getting to watch them. thank you ophelia for sponsoring them. so beyond happy justin survived! i figured you wouldnât worry about it since heâs so much older in the picture you use for your qaf recordings lol so it kinda spoiled it for you. that shot in the episode when we first truly see him again at home always makes me emotional. itâs just so good to see him alive. also his âiâm fine, donât i look it?â is a heartbreaker. heâs trying his best to be okay. poor brian too! god the trauma they both faced. i think it was the guilt that prevented him from telling anyone he went to check on him every night. they kept mentioning that he cut himself off from everyone too. i think he was perhaps worried they would blame him. thatâs why it sucks that jennifer did. iâm sure she knows deep down it wasnât his fault, she knows that chris hobbs has been making justinâs life hell for a while, but i think she was just looking for someone to blame. they donât address it but i wonder if she too feels a bit to blame since she and debbie convinced justin to go to prom when he didnât want to. at least justin himself told brian it wasnât his fault. he really does know him. idk how much he believed him but iâm glad he said it. also brian wearing the bloodied scarf under his clothes is heart wrenching. the fact that they never show justinâs dad at the hospital or in any way affected by what happened to him only makes me hate him more. you just know he wasnât there. onto happy news - michael and david broke up!!! couldnât be happier thatâs finally over.

2023-05-05 20:57:56 +0000 UTCI absolutely love this episode. I think itâs so hard to see Justin like this because heâs soooo strong. I easily think heâs the strongest character in the show. Like heâs emotional and sometimes a bit irrational about his emotions, but things just never seem to really get him down. So seeing him like this is so hard. Ted getting fired over a âmisunderstandingââŠ. Maybe it will be a chance to do something a little more exciting, lol. Iâm so glad David is gone. And I agree, David did show how immature he was so many times. Especially being this âIâm older than youâ âI can take care of youâ âdonât worry about anythingâ kinda guy towards Michael, and then being super immature about things like this. I think itâs funny how alike Melanie and Brian are about things like this and criticizing âstraight, conformistsâ idea. They are super different when it comes to being responsible, but also kinda similar with a lot of their ideas and stuff. Also Brian just always pulls at my heart strings. You can see how much this has affected him and the fact that Justin seems to be the only one who just right away knows whatâs up and what heâs thinking says a lot.
