I think you're right in that the writing totally messed up Ari's character especially with Samu. I liked her at first and then it just all went downhill form there lol

His line about Oh when someone screws up, is he supposed to kill himself or fly out into space without you giving him a second chance? is such nonsense. NO. But that's not the only option. We can start thinking about forgiveness and redemption when he fucking goes to the police and accepts legal consequences! Why is this concept so hard to understand?? Love Rocio, hate her thing w Bilal. Also feel bad for Patrick, but I get how Ivan is feeling. Hate how Raul has Sara exactly where he wants her- Mencia did mean well, but she overplayed her hand and kinda sent Sara right back into Raul's arms. As for Ari- whoooooooooo boy :D I hate her whole thing with Nico, but I def don't hate her like you do hahaha. The fact that we don't believe her big love with Samu I think is a fail on the writers' part- they never sold their love story convincingly in the shit show that was s5, and that's why it doesn't land now. Other than that I like her storyline. She's accumulated quite a bit of trauma and never got to work through it because her dad decided she'd be the other adult in the family, which is bs. That's not an excuse for what she does, but it's an explanation and that's why I find her character interesting.

2023-08-03 17:58:12 +0000 UTCAri and Patrick (twins) are 18. From previous seasons w the OGs we know they turn 18 sometime during their last school year. Seasons 4 and 5 were the last year of school for all 3 siblings (altho Mencia skipped a grade so she's a year younger). I have no idea wth the three are still in school, repeating their last year, but at least the older two are 18 and thus don't need to live w a guardian, and Mencia is probably officially in their care. Now, SHOULD they just live by themselves after everything they've been through? And should Ivan live them instead of an adult in his family? Absolutely not :D

Speaking of Ivan, HATE that they brought back the Ari thing. But I get his thoughts on Patrick, even if it´s unfair. Atleast he knows it´s irrational. Still sucks for Patrick though. Kinda wish they would have let them be happy without any drama in the first 4 episodes, and then let them fall apart after Cruz´s death. And Patrick makes me so sad. That he, despite all that, is still trying to hold on to his relationship with Ivan just shows how desperate Patrick is for love. And I love Patrick and Ivan together, despite it all. But it really shouldn´t be. Atleast definitely not right now. Ivan needs to grief and process and then they maybe could reconcile. Bilal is weird. like... Oh now that I saw you be discriminated now I understand you? That´s weird! Rocio deserves better. Didac´s family is intriguing. It kinda sounded like they are mafia. But I think that would be a bit too cliché. But his family is wealthy! Which is interesting. That puts his interaction with Isadora in the beginning in another light. Sure, it was partially because of the allegations against his friend. But I think he was also kinda rude to her because she symbolized the thing he wants to escape from. Which makes it ironic that he is now attracted to her. Didac and Isa was implied a little bit earlier. When they all stripped Rocio said it´s fine since no one there is interested in anyone. And then we got a couple of shots of people looking at someone. Didac looked at Isa, Rocio at Bilal, Nico at Ari and Mencia at Sara. So all the (atleast so far) one sided interests. I think they could be really good together! And Isa deserves something good. Especially a good relationship. Phillipe was just... urgh. Nico... the one good thing I take from this situation is, that he will hopefully come out of it stronger than before. And hopefully without Ari. That he is stealing and dealing is one thing. But that he is dealing to THOSE guys, despite knowing what they did to Isa just reaffirms how desperate he is to get the money he needs.
