I take Saanvi being in the picture as some prophetic vision. Just like there is a picture of Ben saving Olive at the beginning of the journal. Like, it´s all Fate and everything that happens was meant to happen. I´m not sure if all 3 at the interrogation were in on it. I think the two initial investigators might just being aggressive and biased without being Xers. But the guy from the union definitely was and manipulated the conversation to get a chance to kill Michaela. And as far as I can tell Al Zuras seems to be made up for the show. Atleast I only find Manifest related things when I google him.
