Was that because Omar's kindness rubbed off on him? I have no idea. I would also put majority of the blame on Ari since that is her brother and she acts like their the closest siblings ever. Out of the 3 Patrick is my favorite too. I think I would like Mencia more if they showed her trying to change and making the changes, but her doing what she did to Rebe in the first episode and then out of no where she is just this good kid doesn't do it for me. I actually liked the idea of Patrick making out with Ivan's Dad because I want to see Ivan's response to that, but now you made me remember Patrick is a minor and so eww lol The phone thing is funny because i literally just went through changing my sim card and it makes absolutely no sense to me as to why it would be in there. Maybe Armando forgot when he gave it to her? At this point I'm not sure why we are even trying to rationalize lol

2023-03-09 19:14:37 +0000 UTCYes the writing is a mess. I´m trying to break most of it down and make it make sense but... some things just can´t make sense. First, Bilal. No idea why he is here. He serves absolutely no point in the story. He is an asshole and for some reason Omar is attached to him. If I remember correctly he also is barely in the rest of this season. So what is his character? Why does he exist? I thought they were going to make him overcome his homophobia, maybe realize he actually is gay and give Omar a new love interest. His weird introduction made it feel like it. But he just exists. And it is incredibly dumb that they plan to cover up a murder with Bilal just there. I guess maybe their justification is that he is just a refugee and no one would listen to him if he tries to backstab them? The Ari and Ivan stuff. I like to pretend it doesn´t exist. Because it feels too stupid. And I want to say it is out of character for Ivan and he should not do that to be considerate of Patrick´s feelings but... urgh. It is here I guess. Technically he doesn´t owe Patrick to not be interested in his sister. He said from the beginning he isn´t gay. But it´s still kinda... just urgh. I like to put most on the blame on Ari, since she is a selfish bitch anyway. Ari, Patrick and Mencia. Honestly for me Ari is the worst of them now. She is soooo self-centered and an asshole. I actually kinda like Mencia this season. I think I understand her character. She was such a mess in season 4 that she tries to be "a good kid" now. Unfortunately she treats Rebe unfairly in order to be "the perfect daughter" which sucks, but in general she has been a lot more tolerable. She just tries to please her father. And I think it makes sense. All 3 of them are fuck ups and starved for attention, parental guidance and support. Since Benjamin is a terrible father. I really love Patrick, he is my favourite of the 3. He is still a mess like the others but I like his story a lot. I´m not sure if the red eyes remark was implying drugs or if he just cried because of Ivan. Since Patrick said "it´s a reaction" when Benjamin accused him of doing drugs, instead of just saying yes. Anyway, it´s clear that Benjamin has no idea what´s going on in his life, and doesn´t care. Patrick would have needed a father who is there for him, instead of just putting expectations on him. Yes he destroyed the statue and it´s bad. But he is going through stuff and his father needed to show some empathy instead of belittle him with stuff like "Oh will you cry about it". I also really like the dialogue between Patrick and Benjamin, about how their mother was so kind and saw the good in them while Benjamin only sees everyone around him as weak and worse than him. These kids need a better parental figure. And Patrick making out with Ivan´s dad. Again, just as messy as Ivan and Ari fucking. Both of these boys need to stop fucking with the relatives of their actual crush. But it makes a lot of sense. Patrick is vulnerable. Ivan distanced himself to not hurt Patrick in the long run. His dad is being a dick and not agood dad. So he feels like no one wants him, not just romantically but generally as a person. And ironically Ivan´s dad, who isn´t great at being a responsible adult to his son either, comforts him, and gives him some affection that he desperately needs right now. So while Ivan´s dad shouldn´t make out with a minor either. I can excuse it as a slip up. And especially from Patrick´s perspective very understandable. Now to Mencia´s phone. I´m not sure if it 100% makes sense, but lets just roll with it. Seems like the phone can hold two SIMs. Some phones do that. (Although I think normally the data of both of them is still accessable if 2 are in, but ignore that) So there was a hidden SIM in her phone, which she found when she threw it. When she put it as her primary SIM she found that not further specified data. Given the flashback in the beginning it´s probably dirt Armando had on Benjamin. And when Mencia called the number that was saved on that SIM she found out that her dad has a secret 2nd phone, since he gave her his regular phone to charge it. So yes. Benjamin is shady. However, why the hell Armando decided to hide his dirt on Benjamin IN MENCIA´S PHONE of all places? I have no idea why. It doesn´t make any sense. It´s just for the dramatic revelation.
