I 100% agree, I felt so terrible for the way Max's story ended. I also thought it was interesting how they really focused in on the ups and downs of the thruple for the whole season, only to have it all fall apart int he end. It really sucks that they couldn't re shoot things becuase I'm sure they would've changed that bit for Max's sake if they knew it was the finale finale end.

2023-01-30 17:34:50 +0000 UTCWhile this show wasn’t the best, I had fun watching it and I’m okay-ish with the ending. I’m just so disappointed with Max’s ending. He’s probably the character who has grown the most yet he has the worst ending. He’s hurt and alone and back to his old ways. The fact that the whole thing that made him agree to the throuple in the first place last season was Aki and Audrey badgering him and saying it was “all for all or none for none” and that if it didn’t work with the three of them, it wouldn’t work with any of them and they would all break up. He resisted for so long because he was afraid things would end up exactly how they did with them together and him on the outside and they proved him right. Safran said in another interview today that the throuple was supposed to be endgame in season 3 and Aki/Audrey would realize they jumped the gun and miss him but honestly I just don’t see how he would ever trust/believe them again when they’ve already gone through this and they didn’t keep their word. I can’t see Max ever feeling secure in a relationship with them without fear they’ll choose each other and leave him behind again.
