Kept you waiting, huh?
I'll cut to the chase. I'm getting to the point where I might not release a game for a while. I'm going to be honest, people didn't really seem to respond to the game jam thing all that much so I'm guessing people aren't invested in the concept of small games. I am honing in on what I want to do for my next projects, but it might be a while before I release anything.
I want to be upfront about a few things.
I do not have any current plans to pause Patreon billing in the near future, as I am still working on new stuff related to game development. I am considering interim content of some kind (small games, short stories, etc), but don't be shocked if I'm only posting monthly for the next few months.
I am considering introducing new tiers when I get closer to releasing a new project. If I do, I want to stress that I will not move any content to higher tiers. If you have access to something now, you will continue to have access to it so long you support me at the current level.
I do intend to add art to my next project. I have saved some money from Patreon/itch.io earnings to spend on this. I'm not interested in AI art so this may be something that takes a while. Despite this, my new projects will still likely be heavily text based.
I am planning on going in two different directions. That of making a more story focused game and a sandbox game. That does mean I plan on working two games at once.
