Another show that I started and never finished...though this one was involuntary...I had binged it binged it binged it that I got a little tired of watching it and started to watch other things that by the time I thought about going back to it I couldn't remember where I left off and would have to start all over again. I think I was in Season 4? idk. All I know is that this is good, and so many familiar actors are in this from Doctor Who, HP, and the Arrowverse. I hope you like it!

2022-12-12 22:21:17 +0000 UTCAlso I forgot to mention that Netflix yes will be taking this off their platform but the funny thing is Merlin BBC has been on Netflix for years the contract just ran out but I'm guessing they're seeking for another streaming service also there was always rumors that they were supposed to be a Merlin American version but that never happened

I love once upon a time and this does remind me of Once Upon a Time but it has its own Flair and it's own style I'm so looking forward to your reaction thank you so much

Alex. I am looking forward to watching more Merlin with you as you continue on with it. At least these first three episodes. I hope Alex will continue to request episodes for this fun show, or that you might pick it up for us should you continue to enjoy it. I really enjoy this show overall, and I love its characters a lot. Especially Arthur and Merlin. It's very interesting to see the beginnings of Merlin and Arthur, with the both of them being young versions of the heroes we love from the Arthurian legends. With the exception of King Arthur in Once Upon a Time that is, given that I know how much you absolutely hated Arthur in Once Upon a Time. Arhtur's character starts out rough, but over time, I believe you will come to love him too. Just as we all love Merlin right from the start. Also... I love that Merlin's magic comes from pure instinct, and not just magic spells from spell books and study over years of practice. Arthur is a character who starts off rough, but he absolutely gets better pretty quickly. And I love the humor in Merlin's and Arthur's banter within this Pilot episode and throughout the show in its entirety. However, I agree with you that I didn't really like Arthur in this episode either. Especially because this version of Arthur is very different from the Arthur I've grown to love from reading the books and watching the movies surrounding the Arthurian legends. I love the Arthurian legends. I love both King Arthur and Merlin, and everything about Camelot as well. But with this being said... I do quickly come to love Arthur's character here in The Adventures of Merlin too. And I love the actors who play both Arthur and Merlin as well. Bradley James (Arthur) and Colin Morgan (Merlin). Now... I don't really care all that much Guinevere or Lancelot within the legends, because I hate their overall love story. However, I do actually quite like Guinevere a lot throughout this show. And I am happy to say that I am very happy to see a very different take on her character as well. I love Gaius' and Morgana's characters overall as well. I especially love Morgana for a lot of what's to come for character throughout the overall show. Her character arc is fascinating. And Gaius is great mentor and friend to Merlin. I love him. I also really love the Dragon locked up beneath the castle. I love how he and Merlin come to meet upon the Dragon calling for him. And especially how the Dragon reveals his destiny to Merlin, as he reveals that Merlin must protect and guide Arthur so that he can grow to become the Once and Future King as he is destined to become. To unite the Kingdom of Albion. Regarding King Uther... I really hate his overall character. Uther is a character I really despise because he's quite despicable. And Morgana, as well as the witch within this episode, are absolutely right... That the more people he terrorizes and threatens because of his fear and suspicion of magic, the more the people will grow to see him as a real threat. The more he and Arthur will come to be in danger. Especially Arthur, just like we see within this episode. I wish this witch had targeted Uther, and not Arthur. Because Arthur is innocent in his father's treachery. If she targeted Uther first, then yes... I would agree with you and the witch, and wished that she would have succeeded. But Arthur doesn't deserve to die for his father's sins. As a Pilot episode... This episode is a great start to a fun and magical show. I love the overarching plot with the witch seeking revenge against Uther for killing her son, as she threatens to kill Arthur. An eye for an eye. And I love how she transforms herself into the singer in order to cast her spell over the people while singing such a beautiful song. Thank you again, Jessie! I look forward to seeing more Merlin from you whenever you choose to watch more should you do so. I hope you will continue to enjoy it over time. Sincerely, Heidi
