Pushing Daisies S2 E8 Comfort Food

Comfort Food- Thank you very much for this fantastic and fun reaction for Pushing Daisies, Jessie! I love this episode too! So much fun, and also so tense and sad in regards to Chuck deceiving poor Ned upon her impulsively tricking him by keeping her father alive. I agree with everything you spoke about in your thoughts throughout your reaction for this episode, as well as in your afterthoughts. I love everything to do with the entire comfort food competition and the craziness that ensues upon one of its competitors being killed. Olive is wonderful, and I absolutely love Kristin Chenoweth! And I love it when she breaks out into song throughout this show! Her voice is gorgeous, and she's just so much fun! I also agree with you regarding the circumstances surrounding the chicken man's death, and how the writers didn't do a great job with writing the clues surrounding how he died and who killed him. But nonetheless... I love the entire sordid explanation as to why the big guy in the wheelchair killed this poor man. It's twisted that this guy blames the chicken guy for him gaining all his weight and then chooses to kill him over it, when it's only his own fault for failing to stop eating it just because his chicken tasted so good. But so funny, and another perfect Pushing Daisies kind of death. :) And yes... Isaac, the Author, from Once Upon a Time is in this episode. It's wonderful to see him make an appearance in this show. I've always really enjoyed Patrick Fischler as an actor. And his characters in both shows are really great! And then... I also absolutely agree with you on everything you talked about surrounding Chuck's deception against poor Ned, and why her keeping her father alive is so very wrong, even if Ned had done the same thing when he made the choice to keep her alive. However, that was his choice. He made it, and he faced the consequences that came because of his decision. Chuck has taken his choice away from him, and now... Ned is involved and responsible for her father now being alive, while Dwight Dixon is dead. Chuck and Ned are very lucky that it had been Dwight who died, but it absolutely could have been Ned, Chuck, or even Lily had she chosen that night to come to the cemetery to wait for Dwight to show up. So... What's gonna happen now? Just you wait, Jessie! :) And lastly... It's so funny that you happened to have watched, or at least posted this episode of Pushing Daisies, as well as the episode titled... Candy Morningstar, from Lucifer, both today. Because in both these episodes, one of their characters happen to sing the 90s song, Eternal Flame. In Lucifer, it was Lucifer himself who sings this song to Chloe, and here in Pushing Daisies, it's Olive who sings it about her love for Ned. And both versions are so beautifully sung! I love it!!! :) Thank you again, so much, Jessie!! I am continuing to love all of your fabulous reactions for Pushing Daisies, and I can't wait for your reactions to these final five episodes. Another show that I will be sad to see end once you've finished it next month with its final three episodes. But I am so grateful to you for reacting to Pushing Daisies for me. I love this artistically beautiful show!!! :) Thank you! Sincerely, Heidi
