Heartstopper comparisons are definitely accurate. Although the shows have vastly different vibes. And that´s all I can say without spoiling anything. I have sympathy for August´s situation, but he is still weird. About their coming out status. I´m pretty sure Simon is relatively open about it. And he specified he is gay while talking to his dad, so he likes exclusively guys. Wilhelm on the other hand I feel like is completely unaware himself, which is why he had a panic attack after holding Simon´s hand. In addition to that he couldn´t be out publicly, since he is still part of the royal family and it´s still kinda a taboo to be "like that". Public image etc.
