They showed us early on she's a really good swimmer and they did that for a reason 😁 And Polo is her cash cow, so of course she'd go to great lengths to save him. If he went to prison, there'd be no more money for her to attend Las Encinas (not to mention no nice life with dinner dates and whatever else he pays for). I'm being a bit harsh here, she probably truly likes him, too, but at this point I saw money as her greatest motivator. What we get in the background discussion of the adults after Valerio did THAT (holy shit) is so telling. "Those kids are on their own all day long", "You're always attacking them." This is the first time we've ever seen Lu and Valerio's father and it's clear he's a bad parent. At the dinner, he treats Lu like his little princess because she plays the perfect daughter and brings home good grades, and Valerio like dirt. So the picture I'm getting is that Lu and Val, when they were together at their dad's (as opposed to Val being w his mom in Chile) growing up, were pretty much left to their own devices, with the dad only occasionally swooping in to criticize Val and make sure that Lu is measuring up to his standards. That to me explains a little bit about how their relationship started. It's also sad because it means that when Val WASN'T there, Lu was pretty much alone in that house. No wonder she tried so hard to make it work with Guzman - his family is far from great, but at least they're present and they like her.

2022-09-07 02:43:35 +0000 UTCI think season 2 might be my favourite season of the entire show. Granted, I´ve STILL not watched season 4 or 5. But between the first 3 I think 2 is the most consistently good. I loved the new characters, I loved Samu and Carla´s relationship. And the mystery came together perfectly in this finale. I think it´s never explicitly stated if the guys that went after Samu were the drug guys or Carla´s dad´s guys. But personally I believe it was Carla´s dad. He was concerned about Samu throughout the season, but gave Carla the benefit of a doubt that she had it under control. But when Lu spilled that Carla was sleeping with him I think her dad connected the dots that she genuinely has feelings for him and decided to deal with it before Samu could be a threat. He was talking with Polo about the Samu situation afterall, and we saw him on his phone before Samu was followed by the car. By the way another character exit I forgot to confirm to you is Nano. Him leaving in season 2 is the last we are gonna see of him, atleast physically. I think he is atleast mentioned a few times. It´s such a "fun" scenario that now basically everyone knows it was Polo, atleast if everyone believes Carla, Samu and Guzman. And yet they still will all have to interact with Polo, since he is still not in jail.
