2022-08-16 12:00:51 +0000 UTCThis episode is definitely a highlight. And you aren´t reading too much into it. Moxxie´s halluzination is 100% Phantom of the Opera inspired. If you look back in early episodes you can also see that he has framed tickets for it in their bedroom, so he has definitely watched it. Blitz´s white half of his face also looks like a mask during the dream, just like the phantom´s. As for Blitz´s dream, that one is reminiscent of Pink Floyd´s The Wall. And I love how this is going into character depths and Blitz´s issues to form genuine connections and relationships. Since every single one fell apart. His ex girlfriend, Fizzarolli the clown, who was his coworker at one point. His shortlived friendship with Striker before he backstabbed him. And he is scared that his relationship to Moxxie&Millie as well as Stolas can´t last either. Moxxie and Blitz also have a really nice conversation and moment in this episode. I just love it so much. The fight scene was so well animated! The wait between E5 and E6 was actually pretty long, but it´s so worth it for this really fluid fight sequence. And then Stolas´s entrance. It´s so creepy! This was probably the most scary thing in the entire show so far. But it´s really cool to see Stolas this menacingly before he reverts back to his regular appearance. I also noticed something about his entrance in hindsight with regards to season 2, but I will come back to that when you watch season 2.
