2022-07-26 22:12:37 +0000 UTCSo Susanna had cancer 3 yrs ago. Went through chemo and went into remission. Now the cancer has come back and it’s bad. She has less than a year to live. I don’t think chemo is an option this time because any discussion about treatment focuses on experimental trials and stuff rather than traditional treatment. Conrad definitely knows that Susannah is dying and that’s why he’s struggling so much. It’s never 100% confirmed but it’s assumed that he also knows about his dad cheating. His dad is a prick. You see the clues in how he puts a lot of pressure on conrad and how he pits the boys against each other. I got so angry with how he said to Jeremiah “you’re faster than he ever was” making it into a competition. Jeremiah definitely doesn’t know anything about Susanna being sick or their dad cheating. The whole story really amps up from here on out.
