Aha thank you! So that flashback was filling in the missing pieces and showing that story. Now that you say that I do remember the strip club comment and ugh now I hate him even more! It’s sad that you can see he really doesn’t try to understand Benji at all. Victor and Benji may fight, but they’re having normal typical fights, his dad is creating unnecessary hurtful situations that make them fight and it’s insane that he does t see that.

2022-06-16 13:48:44 +0000 UTCbecause you didn’t remember it, season 1 episode 7 is when benji first told victor about the whole drunk driving into a wendy’s incident. he mentioned how he came out to his parents in the hospital after so they didn’t figure it out, he told them when he woke up. also his dad has always been kinda awful. i’m sure he means well on some level but in season 2 benji told victor how after he came out his dad took him to a strip club to try to “turn him straight”. the fact that he can’t see the damage he himself has done to his son and instead went to blame it all on victor is irritating.
