That's such a sweet and special memory, my mom is the one who got me into musicals too, so I understand the special connection and love that I was able to make you smile! What's crazy is I must've watched Titanic over 100 times when I was younger. Like no joke, my best friend at the time was obsessed and I'm pretty sure we watched it every day for 5 months straight lol I do not remember that! However I did have Kathy Bates pop into my head during that titanic scene and now that would make sense as t why I immediately thought of that part lol

She passed away almost 5 years ago, but watching this again makes me feel like she's here watching with me. I haven't watched the second part yet, so I don't know whether or not you realized this, but Molly Brown was one of the passengers on the Titanic, as shown in the second part, and was played by Kathy Bates in Titanic. The scene where they're all in the fancy dining hall, eating dinner with Jack, Molly relays the story of how she put all the money in the stove and how it all burned up when John lit the fire. Not sure if you remember that scene or not.
