Bonus Video: The best song from every Beach Boys album

Hey everyone (and a special hello to all the new Patrons!)
Here is the bonus video for March, it's a couple hours late on my end but we got there!
Really loved this one; I was having a great time re-listening to the Beach Boys discography this week.

I'd love to know your thoughts in the comments regarding my picks and also please share your own!

Bonus Video: The best song from every Beach Boys album

Okay these are quibbles, and god bless you for bothering to go through the awful post-1977 albums, but isn't My Diane on MIU not so bad, or am I crazy? Apparently the backstory is pretty sordid, but if you ignore that the harmonies are gorgeous. Also for the final album, "Private Life of Bill and Sue" is pretty on the nose and simple, even for the Beach Boys. Isn't "Summer's Gone" kind of a perfect Brian Wilson sendoff? I always thought that incredibly sad song didn't get as much attention as it deserved.

It’s a shame to hear you’re not a fan of the Blondie & Ricky era, imo they really elevated the beach boys to a “cool” / progressive band and every song they wrote for / Blondie sang is pure gold. Holland especially for me is a top 3 beach Boys album. Also think you should give the 2021 mix of baby blue a listen, I think it’ll change your mind on that song at least from LA Light. I salute you for actually getting through every song on summer in paradise, I heard the John stamos version of Forever once and decided then and there i will never listen to that album for as long as I shall live… poor Dennis.

Great video! The Beach Boys are a complex band to digest as a fan. Maybe, I'm that odd fan who actually loves So Tough, Holland, and The Light Album.... Personanlly, I think if I had a time machine, the Holland Tour would be the BB tour I would most want to go back for. They really rocked hard during that era, and I believe they even had some serious new street cred after performing with The Grateful Dead in 1971.

I was hoping for you to include the Smile Sessions, but that honestly deserves its own video.

Also fun fact: mountain of love from beach boys party inspired the replacements’ waitress in the sky on their 1985 album Tim
