Bonus Video: The Beatles in Animation

Hello from the USA!

I have finished the bonus video from October. It's fairly extensive and comprehensive if I do say so myself. But if I missed any major references, please let me know in the comments to this Patreon post!

Hope you're well,

I'm going to sleep now,

I hope/wish for the simpsons be sharps episode that at the end of their rooftop performance they say “thanks moe!” Gosh, the simpsons is so great.

There is one reference you missed. The Nickelodeon show Cat Dog had a reference where the characters meet four beetles that look like each member of The Beatles arriving from a plane.

Christopher Johnson

i really love the implication in the my little pony clips that pinkie pie is ringo

Finally, Elliot became reaction youtuber watching family guy funnies. (/jk ofc but I found it funny as that small segments is for some youtubers only content)

I guess it probably doesn't count, but did you ever happen to watch Courage the Cowardly Dog growing up Elliot? It was definitely one of my favorite shows as a kid, and there’s been this long-standing rumor fans have been kinda circulating for years is that one of The Duck Brothers, one of the many villains Courage does battle with a few times throughout the show, was actually voiced by Ringo Starr but he was credited under a pseudonym. I'm not entirely sure how the rumor started, I think it may have been a combination of the duck in particular sounding enough like Ringo for some people, and then I wanna say a portion of the kids watching likely were familiar with Shining Time Station and going off of the logic that since Ringo did that show, maybe John Dilworth (the creator of CtCD) somehow talked Ringo into voicing a character on the condition that they wouldn't put Ringo's name in the credits so as to not seem like they were using his fame to bring attention to the show. At least, that's some of the theories I've heard fans come up with to rationalize the rumor. If I'm remembering correctly, Dilworth actually addressed this either on his personal Facebook account or in an interview, and confirmed that none of the Duck Brothers were voiced by Ringo. They were all voiced by a man named Will Ryan, who did a lot of voice work for Disney, and will probably be recognized by 90s kids as the voice of Petrie the Pterodactyl in Don Bluth's The Land Before Time (which surprised me, because I had just assumed either one or all of the Duck Brothers had been voiced by Jess Harnell, aka Wakko Warner from The Animaniacs).

Jess the Stampede

The Powerpuff Girls episode was ruined for me when I realized they somehow missed an “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey” reference.

This was a fun one Elliot, amazing. Also i cant get into the discord can you help me out with that, thanks

Mark

Now that was fun. I’m surprised you liked those Family Guy cutaway gags as much you did. Similarly, it was nice of you to call out the tired Yoko jokes. Thanks for the video, Elliot!

Peter Melling

Possibly!

Elliot Roberts

touché, definitely recommend checking it out tho! its very silly :D

Hey Elliot. This is great. Any interest in doing a review video about the movies where the Beatles are integral to the plot, but the film isn't about them? Films like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", "I Am Sam", "Concrete Angels", or "Secrets".

Mike Griffith

Like I said, I tried to get them all but it was hard to catch the older/more obscure ones

Andrew Kuder

Didn’t know how much I needed to see this content😂 great work Elliot

Shea Donlin

Oh, and Midas Man finally came out!

Tom Gallagher

Oh and to add on with the Minions, somehow some way at the end credits, they play Got to get you into my life, which is crazy since obviously due to how expensive license to use the song

Guitar Beatle

Yay, you went with the topic I suggested! Can't wait to watch!
