Bonus Video: A trip through my record collection

Hi everyone!

Hope you've all been well this holiday season. This month's bonus video is a tour of my record collection.

It was fun to shoot this in a different setting!
I hope you enjoy it and a special thanks to you all for being Patrons. Whether for a few days or more than year now, I truly appreciate your generous contribution. It's been incredible to be able to do this full time now, so thank you.

I wish you all a happy new year!

E.

Sure it’s ejrob5

Would you be okay with sharing your Discogs profile? Would love to see what else you’ve got in your collection 😊

Also, Brian Eno is teaching a virtual music class through "School of Song" in January 2025. I have no idea what his approach will be but it is a fun 4-week class for anyone looking to create original music

This video convinced me that I need to buy that Revolver Super Deluxe set purely for the book. I hadn't looked too much into what is included, but after just reading the book that came with the Wilco "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" deluxe version over the last week, it is incredible how revealing this type of content can be on the songs, recording process, timeline and more.

Kent Cichowicz

Yeah! I think I even bring it up in this video. If I didn’t, rest assured that I adore that album.

Hi! New member here. I was watching this video and heard you mention you have The Velvet Underground. Just curious if you happen to have The Velvet Underground and Nico? It's the one with the bannana on it. Anyways, great content!

Really late to this hahaha! But I love your AnCo and Panda Bear vinyl. Love all their stuff! I would love to see you talk about them in whatever format. Have you gone through their whole discography?

Due_Rain_3630

Was that Helplessness Blues I spotted? I'd love to know your thoughts on Fleet Foxes as I just recently got into their stuff and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

Kevin Pniewski

found it, thx.

Karen Makocy Philbrick

Yes! It’s called ‘Hero Of Time.’ If you Google that and include the word vinyl or album I’m sure you’ll find it.

Do you know where/how I can purchase the last album you showed, the Zelda, Ocarina of Time enhanced music? Or, just give me the name of it, and I can look it up online. I'd love to get it - even CD would be fine - for my son, who also loves that game.

Karen Makocy Philbrick

Same with Radiohead. I'm not as personally familiar with a lot of their stuff, but it's a rich topic and could grow your audience

Allan Massie

Let's have some Dylan videos in 2023! Clearly not as big a role in your life as the Beatles, but Dylan's life and career are such a rich subject. Even if you're not an authority, I'm sure you could make interesting videos. What's your first-listen reaction to his first album (mostly covers), or the alt versions of the Blood on the Tracks albums, or Murder Most Foul (his release last year that astonishingly became his first Billboard #1 hit)? How would you rank the songs on Blood On The Tracks? I'd personally love to see some Dylan content, and it might also help your channel grow - there's a substantial audience out there.

Allan Massie

so jealous that you have so many George records, I haven't really been able to find any around

Echo Jennings

A sincere F in the chat for that copy of Person Pitch 😔

Mark Berman

Right there with you with Eno (and awesome seeing Casiopea up top)! My picks are Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror w/ Harold Budd and the Apollo album with Daniel Lanois and Brian's brother Roger. It's all great stuff, though.

Chris Katella

Not me getting out of bed at 5am to see if my copy of Extra Texture is textured 😂 (also get Cloud Nine on vinyl it’s one of George’s best!)

JackJack_1479

That Animal Collective was the first vinyl LP I ever purchased, year of release. My dad had got me The Bird & the Bee's Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future for me when we saw them earlier that year.

Good way to bolster a collection: Check your local thrift shops. If you know what you're looking for, there can be some real finds there.
