2022-01-15 05:30:44 +0000 UTCWatched the Paul video (thank you for making it!) and it's gotten me back to his stuff after a long time away. I got Flowers in the Dirt when it came out. I was 14, about 4 years into my personal Beatlemania, so I'm biased to love it. The original tape version had 'Ou Est Le Soleil?' I don't remember it being a bonus track. It was always one of my least favorite tracks. lol. Your thoughts on it will have me reassessing it. Your video also drove me to just go back and listen to FintD again. I happened to be a bit lazy that day and listened to it on Spotify, which means I heard the Archive Collection original demo disc for the first time. Just Paul and Elvis Costello on acoustics with all that production stripped away? Wow! And honestly there were a couple non-album tracks I'm bummed didn't make the original cut, "Twenty Fine Fingers" would have livened things up a bit! I've since gone and snagged a copy off ebay. So while I understand FintD ranked low on your list, thank you for giving me back an improved version of one of my favorite albums!
