She killed because she thought she was doing good and she hated it none the less. She believed it was the only way to save everyone else. Shes not crazy. Shes being manipulated by some unknown force or entity. When she left the door open that lead to the old man and nurse dying, she did it because she was told it was gonna save everyone else. Its similar to the classic psychological "trolley problem" thats used to determine a persons morality. If a train is heading towards 5 people on the tracks and you can pull a lever that causes the train to take a different route that only kills one person do you pull the lever and sacrifice one person to save five or let life play out as intended? Its not a simple question with a simple answer. What would u do if you were told u could go home and leave this crazy existense but it would cost 2 people their lives but youd be saving dozens?
