Hey there, everyone, happy Halloween/Spookytober!!!
Pumpkins, candy, cheap costumes and jump scares that never land on time. Whether you are out collecting sugar, staying in with movies, or pretending you are "too old" for all of this, enjoy this night my friend.
Meanwhile we do have a few treats for you.
Here’s the annual Halloween/Spookytober art piece!

And here, what we’ve been working on these past weeks:
Kay’s In-Game Combat Model (Animation-Ready) + New Combat Outfit

Hey, Kuja here. Quick rundown on the combat model you just saw:
This one became one of the most complex illustrations in the entire project. It ended up just as demanding as the main gameplay model in terms of detail and total pieces. A single flattened drawing was useless for what we needed. To make the character move correctly in combat animation, I had to split it into two different torsos, several arm variations, and a pile of separate hands. Every piece exists so animation can move, rotate, and overlap cleanly without anyone redrawing half the character every time.
The original idea was a single universal model that would handle everything. After starting production, it was clear that was not going to happen. One static body would break the moment we tried more dynamic poses. So the model turned into a modular system again, built for swapping parts, changing angles, and supporting more extreme motion.
Kay also got a new outfit. That is not just visual flair. It signals a shift in the build, since combat is closer and closer to implementation, and it marks a new stage for Kay in the story.
End result: a very dense model with hidden parts, alternate pieces, and enough flexibility to survive full animation testing without falling apart. All in all, I'm proud of this one. Hope you guys like it. I personally can't wait to see her in motion!

Backgrounds being worked on

On the writing related side, there is plenty:
Are we live? Oh! Ahem… Welcome to Ricco’s Broadcast.
I’m happy to inform you through this radio transmission that we’re making a content expansion for a very skilled huntress with new scenes and dialogues. If you guessed Keakrix you’re correct! You’ll be able to follow her in a hunt to get meat for the village by stepping out for the first time, but be aware of the dangers that lurk behind the bushes and on top of the trees…
Another news is that we completed the content for a new member in the village. If you’re frustrated or in need of a break from all that work in the village, Inani will gladly listen and let you vent out everything while resting your head on her lap, and have a good view of her… eh… big assets… ahem. Anyway, all that is left for her is to implement her into the game
For those who seek adventure and adrenaline addicted folks, don’t you worry! We have some good stuff for you. We’ve been working on a few concept arts of some of the future wild animals you’ll encounter in the jungle, one of them being a big boar creature with hard scales that are more like armor plates and sharp pointy tusks that will impale anyone and anything that it charges at. You don’t want to be in front of such a beast, am I right?
Next on our panel are a few updates for other characters that we’ll be working on in the future to expand content for them with new scenes and possibly new quests. The best candidate is a very grumpy old- ACK! Ouch! I-I mean… a very talented blacksmith, Vanlen! (And I hope I get a raise for that slap…)
Still on the topic of expansion, we’re also thinking of adding the option for you to take a bath in the waterfall after a long day of work. And maybe you could invite someone to join you…
Back to you… and please send help. HEEEEELP!
Looking Ahead
We are polishing what is done, building what is missing, and getting closer to the next big update. Expect new enemies, backgrounds and more to be showcased pretty soon.
In the meantime... see you later and STAY SPOOKY!!
