August Update & Progress Report

Hello everyone,

We would like to share the latest on our progress, upcoming features, and what you can expect in the near future.

KRAM Reminder
A brand-new KRAM illustration is nearly finished and will be revealed tomorrow! Don't forget to share your works!

The Shaman Update
The past couple of weeks have been dedicated to preparing the Shaman Update, alongside working on Inani’s content for the next major release. The Shaman will bring a wealth of dialogue and story content, giving you plenty to talk to him about. However, there won’t be any dedicated scenes for him just yet. Those will arrive later as the story continues to develop.

Launcher Overhaul
We’ve heard your concerns about the launcher loud and clear. Our main coder is hard at work on a complete overhaul of how it functions. These changes should greatly reduce the connection and download issues many of you have experienced. While some problems are system- or internet-related, we’ve long agreed the launcher needed an update. The improvements are nearly complete, and this should make updating LOKR:R far more stable and consistent moving forward.

Dialogue Visual Updates
Dialogue stills are nearly finished! Soon(Just 1-2 characters left!) , all existing and future dialogue will feature high-quality character images to bring interactions to life. We are also exploring audio touches (simple tones, Banjo-Kazooie–style vocalizations, etc.) so conversations won’t feel silent.

Simple Weather System
We’re considering adding a very simple shader-based dynamic weather system: Rain for the jungle, Sandstorms/Wind for the desert and so on. It’s a small detail, but one that adds atmosphere and flavor to the world.

Character Content – Keakrix
We’re also revisiting older characters while developing new ones. Up next: Keakrix, the fan-favorite shy tomboy. We’re working on ways to bring in her existing (but not yet implemented) scenes. Expect some fresh scenarios too (maybe entangling vines… or perhaps a dinosaur hunt gone awry?)

That's it for today. Thank You for your support. Progress has been steady, and that’s thanks in no small part to your continued support. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for sticking with us and helping make LOKR:R what it is.
