After the long wait, I am happy to announce that the Launcher is now public and comes with the original 0.8, and the new LoK:Rebirth version 0.0.0 (Tech Demo). This marks version 0 of the remake. For more news on the remake check out our detailed post on Patreon. I’m going to talk about what the plans are for the future of this launcher and hopefully answer questions people have.
The release strategy for the Launcher is divided into three stages, the first being our private patron release. The second being right now, our release with the tech demo to the public for Windows. Finally, we will release the Launcher for Mac, Linux (coming soon, we’ve hit some issues with plugins). We’re also working on the launcher to create an updater to allow you to get updates without manually having to update your launcher. We are outsourcing a team to complete this final piece of software to focus on the delivering the game.
Linux (soon) and Mac builds are available in our Tech Demo Patron post as individual downloads along with a Windows version if you’re unable to succeed with the launcher.

The launcher still seems pretty unreliable. Having to download it multiple times, and not working yet. Just either hangs, or crashes completely.

Failing to connect to the server when i launch it even when I have a stable internet connection and not updating whenever a new version of the game is released are the main issues I constantly have with it. I have had to uninstall it an reinstall it multiple times now just to get it to work

2020-08-15 17:10:59 +0000 UTCThe first LOK game from playshapes never got my attention. From a sexual aspect, you got a pair of boobs and that was it for the straight appeal. From a gameplay aspect, lol it's flash player, you get what you get. What I'm trying to say here is that you guys (LOK Team) have no competition but you're over extending yourselves and that's why LOK keeps dying. Not only that, but I'm probably not the only one who thinks the original "Krys" that you guys made before you started going to a 3D version, was WAY hotter! She had a deep blue fur that looks better than the light blue color artists use for her fur. On top of that, her face wasn't repulsive and she had a very good looking body, athletic but thicc. I would love to pour money into this game again if you guys would stick to the 2D game, give "Krys" some much needed front and back poses and animations, and finish the 2D game. The patrons will come for a finished game and THEN you can invest in some fancy 3D game version.

The 8-directional sprite style they were pushing for just wasted an entire year of work. They really are too ambitious for how little experience they have with game development.

Its just my oppinion and i will will further support you in Future. I may very well be wrong about that. If not we patreons waste money and you waste your valuable time. I hope on noticeable improvements the nex months or year.

2020-07-11 19:32:53 +0000 UTCClick the orange folder icon in the play menu of the game to select the folder it downloads to and select the blue icon to open the folder it downloads to. Hovering over these will show the directory currently set for the downloads.

2020-07-04 17:45:48 +0000 UTCHey there, yeah we got a lot of feedback regarding the characters looking flat. We're working on fixing that. Besides that I think the new style is promising and can lead to some very interesting results, we'll keep showing improvements on what we have :)

2020-07-04 17:17:56 +0000 UTCThe loader this time is able to start the tech demo directly without any problems. As for the isometric style view, it's interesting, hope to see more of it in the future...for now, it looks a bit weird, compared to what 0.8 got us used to, in my opinion.

2020-07-03 14:52:13 +0000 UTCThe newest build is in it, sorry for the server issues but it should be resolved now. I upgraded our servers after some users were having issues downloading via the launcher. We should be good now!
