100 Days of Ukulele 2025 Begins March 1 - Facebook Group is open! Live Chat Wednesday!

{Public post}

Aloha, Patrons!

The 100 Days of Ukulele Project 2025 begins very soon - March 1st is Day 1!  Thanks to our 100 Days Admin team, the new 2025 Facebook group is now open.  This is a private group where you can post videos as part of the project, watch participants' videos to give them support, and get inspiration to join the project if you're new.  Remember, positive comments only.  We work hard to keep this a safe, nurturing space, and it's a central hub of our community, so please join us if you're on Facebook!  (Other posting options are available for non-Facebook users! More on that below.)

Join our 2025 Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/100daysuke2025

What is 100 Days of Ukulele? Players of all levels can participate in sharing short videos of their daily ukulele practice for 100 Days - it's all about your creative journey and building a daily creative practice.  The secret: Consistency builds confidence.  Remember my mantra: practice 5 minutes a day, it's good for your brain and good for your soul. ❤️

Do you have questions about 100 Days or recording yourself?  Check out the FAQ and a handy online tracker here.  Post your questions in the comments so I can address them in my Live Chat!

Join the 100 Days of Ukulele 2025 Project Prep Live Chat: https://youtube.com/live/3cv8I8tcA60

I will host a Live Chat on my YouTube on Wednesday at 10am Hawaii Time to talk all things 100 Days - FAQ, how to join, tech tips, best practices. Click the link to see the countdown for your timezone, and it will be recorded to watch later as well. Hope to see you there!!

Ways to join our 100 Days of Ukulele 2025 Project Communities

You can do the project on your own at anytime and share on any platform, but I think 100 Days alumni will agree it helps to join one of our Project Communities and have the moral support of hundreds of folks around the world who are also playing during the "official" 100 Days of Ukulele that starts March 1.

🌟 Join our 2025 Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/100daysuke2025

Facebook is home to our most active 100 Days community group. Community Manager Jenny leads the group, and we have several moderators and group experts who can help answer questions and offer words of encouragement and support.  Thank you to our amazing Admin/Moderator team: Christina, Dori, Valerie, Terry, Owen, Ray, and Ken.  These are all folks who have done the project and been on the leadership team for multiple years, and I appreciate them continuing to give back to the community.

The Facebook group is private, so those who aren't in the group will not be able to see your posts. Not interested in posting? You can join just to support others and observe how the Project works - and maybe be encouraged to join next year!

🌟 Post on Instagram and use our hashtag #100DaysUke2025

Follow the hashtag to lend your support and drop encouraging comments to this year's participants, whether or not you're also posting!  @clukesquad will be re-sharing a selection of videos from IG participants, so be sure to tag that account if you'd like your post shared.

Are you joining this year on IG?  Comment below with your account handle so folks can follow.

Use the Instagram hashtag: #100daysuke2025 and tag @clukesquad

Some participants post their videos on YouTube. You can use the hashtag on this platform, as well, and follow each others' channels to leave comments.

🌟Patrons can also share in a post I will create on Patreon

In past years, we have experimented with options to use Patreon to share 100 Days progress via the now-defunct Community Tab and in my Patron chat threads. This year, if you'd like, you can post a link to your latest video in the comments of a 100 Days of Ukulele post I will create. It will be just for Patrons, and I'll create it in time for Day 1 on March 1. If folks like and use this option, we can figure out how to keep it going. Watch for that soon.

First Fridays -- A chance to share on Zoom

The past few years, Jenny and I have tried to hold monthly Zoom sessions on or around the first Friday of Project months (March, April, May, and June) whenever possible. All are welcome to join. This year we are planning to kick off the 100 Days by gathering on Zoom for a get-together on Day 7 (Friday, March 7, 2025) at 1pm Hawaii Time (time zone converter). These sessions are not able to be recorded, but join us if you can and let us know how the first week is going. More information coming soon in another post.

Roll Call: Are you participating?

Will you join the project this year?  What would make this year's 100 Days of Ukulele meaningful and sustainable for you?  Have you participated in past years?  What advice would you share with those who are joining for the first time or on the fence about joining?

Enjoy the journey, friends.  I look forward to seeing you along the way.

🌺 cynthia.

I'm with you Jessica, trying to figure out how to do that also, hanging in there

Maritza

Still not sure how to post to Patreon. Looking forward to some guidance

Jessica

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

I don't use a music stand; I just tape the music under my phone or next to it, but if I were you I'd either get a phone clip that allows you to clip the phone to the stand (or tripod with bendy legs that can go anywhere) or I'd put the phone on a shelf where I could have the music stand right underneath it. When I use my ipad, I prop the ipad up under my phone.

Thank you, I will check that out on Amazon

I use a video I pad tripod stand ….you can position it and angle it very easily from any direction and it makes filming really easy . They can be ordered from Amazon . Go have a look and see if this is what would help you ,and if I understood your question correctly .

Question. What is the best set up if one is using sheet music and wants to film self at same time? I use a music stand for the music or read it off my desktop or IPad. How do you position phone or IPad to do video at same time?

Vivian Tiegen

Use YouTube and post the link on the facebook group

Woo hoo!!! 100 days is here! I’ve gained so much the last three years from participating. I’m thinking of doing this on instagram this year instead of facebook as I’m trying to get off of facebook. I don’t have as clear a plan this year so will be winging it a lot more
