Here's the full length reaction to Edge of Tomorrow, our latest poll winner! This concept is so fun, and I loved seeing Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in a movie together! Enjoy!

EDGE OF TOMORROW - Full Length Reaction!

Comments

Emily Blunt has to survive against other aliens in another movie where she stars with her husband, John Krasinski, A Quiet Place. AND since your YT edit for HTTYD is up, Hiccup (at the very end) looks a lot like Krasinski in AQP. 6-7 more weeks and we're in October. Scary Addie-ventures to come!! I have listed a few scary movie suggestions a while back and I have faith you probably scribbled them down so I won't repeat them. Take care of yourself, Addie!! Hello to Ollie!!

Spoiler The ending of this movie was not the original ending. They did test groups with the original ending where humanity lost the war, and determined that audiences were put off by it, so they re-shot the ending having humanity win.

I love this movie! Emily Blunt was such a boss with that Buster sword, and Tom Cruise was great as well. Really wonder what a sequel will entail.

I second The Bourne Identity (2002) & Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). I would also throw in American Made (2017, also with Tom Cruise) & Chaos Walking (2021, with Tom Holland & Daisy Ridley) #MoreDougLimanForAddieCounts

Doug Liman directed this outing, and is in development to direct the upcoming sequel. Some movies you should check out from his early career are Swingers (with John Favreau and Vince Vaughn), the criminally under-rated Go (with Sarah Polley, Timothy Olyphant, and Katie Holmes), The Bourne Identity (with Matt Damon and Chris Cooper), and Mr. and Mrs. Smith (with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie).

Speaking of Emily Blunt, I also suggest The Wolfman (2010, UNRATED DIRECTOR'S CUT, for Halloween), The Adjustment Bureau (2011), Sicario (2015), The Girl on the Train (2016), A Quiet Place (2018) A Quiet Place Part II (2020) (both for Halloween), Jungle Cruise (2021) & Oppenheimer (2023, directed by Christopher Nolan). #MoreEmilyBluntForAddieCounts

LOVE that movie!

Yes! I was looking forward to this one! And since you find the "Groundhog Day" concept appealing, there is a FUN horror movie (yes, I said "fun horror", trust me) called "Happy Death Day" (2017). Actually, it's more mystery/thriller than horror. You'd enjoy it. It's very well done, along with the sequel "Happy Death Day 2 U". Possibly something for October?

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is one that I've only seen bits and pieces of. And the only thing that I knew about it before I saw those few scenes was that Tom Cruise was in this. So I'm definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today & great weekend! 😊

A much better and exciting version of this concept came out in the late 90s called RUN LOLA RUN. It's a spectacular, fast-paced (and emotion-filled) German film and it's such a fun, funny, thrilling ride. I highly recommend it.

This movie is such a blast! I feel it flew under the radar a bit on release, as they changed the title of the film in many countries halfway through marketing it. If I recall correctly, it's named "Live, Die, Repeat" in several countries.

Happy Friday, Addie. I'm definitely watching Edge of Tomorrow (2014) tonight. I even bought the 4K Blu-ray as well and that's how I'm watching the movie.
