Here's the full length reaction to the Finale of Ms. Marvel! This mid-credit scene made me so excited for what's to come! I loved so much about this series, and thank you for watching along with me :) Enjoy!

MS. MARVEL EPISODE 6 - Full Length Reaction!

Comments

I'm no MCU fan (I personally cannot frigging WAIT until Addie is finally caught up with this franchise so as to free up a full lane in her watch schedule once again), but the fact that "No Way Home" (which Sony apparently had more to do with than Marvel Studios itself) has still evidently been the only universally embraced post-Phase 3 item so far HAS to say something about the current state of the franchise... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚

Byrd N. Hand

Not making excuses. Not desperate. Your comment on the other handโ€ฆ you just sound angry. Itโ€™s movies. Weโ€™re just talking here. Chill out.

John Smallberry

Well, the movie isn't the best ever, but fans reactions as a whole aren't always right. Like fans who hate on Legend of Korra. No spoilers or anything, save Addie possibly watching Avatar and Korra (I pray ๐Ÿ™) in the future, but that large section of haters are straight up incorrect. Yet, there's a lot of them.

Lorenzo Baxter

No, it's because it isn't good. There's a reason the majority of the population hates the things you like, no matter how many excuses you desperately try to make the only reason is because it isn't good

John A

There's a reason it's so disliked by almost everyone. But I mean you're gonna watch the literal gutter trash that is She Hulk so what difference does it make? Might as well watch all the absolute garbage

John A

For what itโ€™s worth regarding upcoming Marvel releases. It seems to me that a significant portion of the negative response has much to do with expectations not being met. People want or expect one thing and marvel takes a different creative direction. Personally Iโ€™ve found enjoyment in almost all the releases and my biggest recommendation is to go in as blind as possible.

John Smallberry

I'm glad you said what you did about Thor: Love and Thunder! I've heard so many bad things about it, but your comment makes me excited to watch it now and give it a chance :)

The interesting thing about the Bond series is how, apart from a few undisputed classics, most fans have highly varied opinions about all of its movies. I mean, "Moonraker" is one of my personal favorite 10-15 movies in the series, even as I thought I'd find it ridiculous given what I'd heard about it (I'll agree with you about "Octopussy," though, where I feel Moore started wearing out his welcome). And I also found Craig's grittier take on the character a welcome change from the increasingly Michael Bay-ish Brosnan movies... but I will agree that another change of pace is needed for the next one -- and I'm not really a fan of the fact that they're apparently going to have to reboot the series once again after just 5 movies (I'm also lobbying for another relative unknown to take over the role - as they did with Connery and Lazenby - given that I feel the few actors I'd previously had earmarked for the role are probably too old at this point to take it on, unless they did a one- or two-off).

Byrd N. Hand

I'm all for watching Supes and Batman, but I'll be hoping it doesn't lead to watching the DCEU movies. I'm a big fan of the Mad Max franchise so I'd love to support those - especially if it leads to Addie watching other "car movies" using practical effects. I've never been a huge Bond fan but I did enjoy the Connery, Brosnan, and some Moore films. I liked how Moore portrayed Bond, but films like Moonraker and Octopussy were a bit hard to watch. Then again, it has been decades since I've watched those, so maybe they are better than I remember. I'll be thankful when the Craig movies are done with. I think Craig is a fine actor, but I'm not a fan of the Bond they've given him.

I've mentioned here before that the only superhero movies I give a damn about are the first 2 Christopher Reeve "Superman" movies (by virtue of growing up on them), the 2 Tim Burton-directed "Batman" movies (ditto), and Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy (which I likely wouldn't have given a second glance to had Nolan not directed them), so, yes, this whole MCU thing has been a slog for people like me... and her adding the X-Men series to the mix has only piled onto it further. I've tried to be as patient as possible through this process, but, being someone who's been with Addie since her channel's infancy, it's been trying at times. Of course, if folks like you lobby/vote for Addie to watch the aforementioned Superman and Batman movies (I know she's already done the Nolan trilogy) as well as the rest of the James Bond series (in increments) - and maybe also the "Mad Max" series - once she's finished/caught up on these superhero franchises, I'll be willing to call it even. ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Byrd N. Hand

I think your main complaint is that you don't like the Marvel shows. Not much I can say about that. As for She-Hulk, to me the best parts of that show are due to the supporting cast, so Addie getting to know one of those characters would let her enjoy the show that much more. But I do believe that if Addie watches DD S1 she'll probably want to watch the other seasons, which may lead her to the other Defenders, so I can understand your preference that that not happen.

Luis Fernandez

Please, no more detours on this already very long journey... especially on behalf of a show that apparently wasn't that well-regarded by most MCU fans. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yeah loved this show so much. Ms. Marvel is actually a pretty recently created superhero, her first comic appearance being in 2013. So she's pretty modern compared to most of the other well known heroes being made during the 50s-70s and so on. One really amazing detail is that she got her mask from her best friend, Bruno, her suit from her mother, and her name from her father. Literally Ms. Marvels whole identity is rooted in her family and people she loves. Thats so touching ๐Ÿ˜ญ And yes, Kamala Kahn is now confirmed as a mutant. We have mutants in the MCU officially! Thats obviously such a huge thing, as you know, there's a massive corner of Marvel containing mutants, not even just the X-Men, but thats what people want to see of course. We've seen characters in the MCU that were originally mutants in the comics (Scarlet Witch and her brother, Quicksilver) but they strayed from the word and gave other reasoning for their powers. So I'm so hyped to see how they incorporate more mutants in the MCU going forward. So next I think maybe is Thor: Love and Thunder. (You probably should just do that before She Hulk anyways) It doesn't have a lot of good reviews, but there are some things that really landed for me that people don't really seem to talk about. The movie has more going for it than people admit. So I'm still really excited for your reaction to it. Until next time, Addie!

Lorenzo Baxter

I'm a big fan of the Defenders shows (admittedly, some are better than others). I'm betting that Addie will be hooked after DD S1.

Luis Fernandez

Agreed honestly. It'd be good for her to watch Daredevil in general cause it's an amazing show, but yeah it's good for her to have the context.

Lorenzo Baxter

I wasn't a big fan of this show the first time I watched it. I didn't dislike it, but didn't really like it either. Your enthusiasm made me walk away with a much higher opinion the second round through. Thor and She-Hulk are next. Ugh. Those are rough. I would recommend you watch Season 1 of Daredevil before you do She-Hulk. You've already met DD in No Way Home, but watching S1 would give you some background so he isn't just a rando superguy that keeps popping up.

Luis Fernandez

Sadly Ms Marvel got canceled by Disney and will no longer have a second season despite how cool this show was ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

So finally it's revealed that Ms Marvel is a Mutant a word Marvel Studios could not use until now for legal reasons. Right after this is revealed you could hear a synth rendition of the 90s X-Men theme which also played in Multiverse of Madness. It's listed as "XMEN 97" Theme which is interesting as X-Men 97 is a new show coming out that will continue on the classic X-Men 90s cartoon set within Fox's animated universe of the 90s made up of the Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk, X-Men etc animated shows. Pretty much the original shared Marvel universe of shows just in animation form. If she has a mutant gene then it's possible that other characters we know like Wanda could be Mutants as well along with any other "Enhanced Individuals" as the MCU calls people with powers. If Bruno can find this out I'm pretty sure governments are aware of these "Mutants" along with factions like Damage Control and S.H.I.E.L.D. Maybe they existed all along but the MCU Professor X is hiding them by blocking Mutants out of peoples minds like who knows how Marvel will explain the lack of Mutants until now. In the comics Miss Marvel is actually an Inhuman, If you recall back to Multiverse of Madness we met a very comic accurate Black Bolt who is the king of the Inhumans and keeper of the Terrigen Mist. This Mist is a vaporous, mutagenic substance that can alter the biology of people who possess a latent Inhuman gene giving them powers this being how Miss Marvel got her powers in the comics. Miss Marvel was meant to be a Mutant but the head of Marvel at the time did not want to introduce any new Mutant characters as Fox owned the movie rights to X-Men, pretty much he saw this as providing Fox with new characters to create movies about so he pushed for creating Inhuman characters. Even in universe Miss Marvel was thought to be a Mutant and was even brought to Charles School but it turned out that she was Inhuman instead. For the MCU they're going for the original idea of her being a Mutant. But overall I much preferred the New Jersey aspect of the story, Villains did nothing for me and kind of just ended oddly. This could've been solely focused on her in High School trying to come to terms with her powers while dealing with Damage Control simpler to an early Spider-Man storyline. But overall I enjoyed the series.

Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š I couldn't remember which one came next. I'm definitely looking forward to Addie getting to "Wakanda Forever".

I'm so glad Addie enjoyed this series. I just love the themes of family and friends all relying on each other creating a story in each other's lives. The best being her costume at the end. It's made of all these different things that she's collected on the way. The red scarf from the kid in the Red Daggers. The blue top the other Red Gagger guy gave her. The mask Bruno made her. The s looking thing on her chest that is the Arabic K from her Kamala necklace that broke. Even the design of the suit is Pakistani inspired. It's all her family and heritage. And the red sneakers are 100% her, an American teenager, which is also part of her heritage. And her parents gave her the name. It's cool that she accepts the people around her, her culture make her a hero. So cool.

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) is next.

BTW, one of the makeup artists on this show is a recurring customer at a grocery store that I work at.

This is one of my favorite 'finale' episodes of the MCU Disney+ shows so far. That mid-credit scene with Kamala switching places with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel was definitely a surprise to a lot of people when it first came out. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing "The Marvels". That might be one that I watch in the theater for sure. This is such a fun show. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. I can't remember if the MCU Disney+ show "She-Hulk" is next or if "Thor: Love and Thunder" is. Have a great day and weekend! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Let's give Addie a round of applause for finishing Ms. Marvel (2022). ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ That mid-credits scene sets us up for the upcoming film, The Marvels (2023). It comes out in November. Another required MCU TV series to fully understand The Marvels' story arcs is the upcoming Secret Wars (2023). Next stop on you MCU journey, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).
