Is it better to live and be forgotten, or die and be remembered?

It also suggests that his spider abilities have some sort of cosmic connection.

Joe Blankenship

While he was outside of his body, his spidey sense took over to play keep away with the box and Strange. It is reflexive. You could even see the faint squiggles around his head like when his sense is active in the comics. I love this movie.

Marvels "what if" is next! ITs also Chadwick Boseman's last project before he passed awway. ADDIE! BTW there are parallels to all the loss in each Spiderman. Tobey lost Uncle Ben and his best friend. Andrew Garfield lost Uncle Ben and Gwen, Tom Holland lost Tony Stark and Aunt May. That last one people dont think about but tony stark was Tom Hollands "uncle ben" for all intensive purposes on screen. Tony Stark was a father figure to Tom Hollands Spiderman just like uncle ben was the father figure for the other two. Its really interesting and sad to think about.

With great movies comes great reactions! Good stuff Addie, can't wait for Daredevil.

Thanks!

Can't wait for Dr. Strange 2 with you!

I can't stress enough how much we all appreciate that you watched the first 5 spider-movies and then the entirety of the MCU and then went above and beyond with supplimental content like Venom before getting here and the fact that you were able to go in to this movie blind is incredible. Thank you for taking the time to get the most out of this movie and for the reaction.

Fawks

Every time I watch this movie, it makes me want to see that third Amazing Spider-Man where we explore Garfield's Spidey's dark side after losing Gwen.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the next movie in the MCU.

Yeah this movie is basically the Endgame of Spider-Man, they completed his journey. Spider-Man is so cool, but he's a really dark character when you think about it. He's a kid, but he literally never gets to be happy for long. Every version of him suffers so much in one way or another. Tobey lost Ben and his best friend. Andrew lost Ben and Gwen. And Tom lost Ben (at least I'm pretty sure, but we haven't seen his full past and origins) and May. Loved Willem Dafoes Green Goblin as well. Incredibly sinister, literally smiling at Peter's punches, thinking he's weak. Also, something pretty sad about Ned. So his promise to never become a villain isn't always kept. In the comics...... a version of Ned Leeds becomes the Hobgoblin, similar to the Green Goblin, he just causes chaos and makes life very hard for Peter. In fact, they hinted at it by Ned's clothing. Orange and Blue are the colors of Hobgoblin. Peter just can't win 😢 Seeing Tobey talk about the darkness he's faced within himself, and being the one to stop Peter from becoming a killer was one of my favorite parts. And yeah.... you should really dip into the Defenders Saga one day with Daredevil, as he becomes pretty important in the future. Plus, now he's officially in the MCU! Super exciting stuff. And yeah if you hadn't watched the Venom movies that end scene wouldn't have made nearly as much sense, so I'm glad you watched them 😅 So next movie is Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness. It's not required, but "What If?" Really sets up some context. And references. If you continue the MCU it's fine, but maybe consider just watching a few X-Men movies in a row just to delay stuff until you can get back to "What If?". So happy you loved this movie Addie! Definitely a top 5 for me in the MCU. Can't wait till next time!❤️

No Way Home aka Spider-Man’s Greatest Hits! We went the night before the opening weekend and we were smart/lucky to buy the tickets a few weeks earlier. The fact that there are more than one Spider-Man, makes putting all of them together in a single movie that much more exciting!! At some point, we cringe when we hear “reunion” mentioned. This is best case scenario for the term. I hope you and Ollie are doing well. Take care until the next video!!

Billy Dancel

yeah, a good way to look at the villains being sent back, is that they're still being sent back to their own universe, but because of their change in the mcu universe, they're now "variants" in those universes/timelines, so their presence creates a new branch of those respective universes.

AzraRillian

I just added Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home into the "Spider-Man" tag so that it's easier to find! It's also under the MCU tag :)

Watching your Spider-Man reactions and Civil War/Infinity War/Endgame has lead up to this.

Are the first two Tom holland movies on your patreon? I can’t search your page and they aren’t included in the spider-man tags…

A Really Good lawyer: It was such a blast to see Matt Murdock “A Really Good Lawyer” who also happens to be the Blind vigilante known as Daredevil a Street level hero who’s active in Hell Kitchen. He first appeared in Daredevil #1 April 1964 just two years after Spider-Man’s first appearance. They’ve worked together for years sharing the common goal of protecting New York from criminals with the Kingpin being a shared villain between Daredevil and Spider-Man. This is his first appearance within an MCU film so unless you’re heavy into Marvel outside of the MCU you’ll probably have no clue who he was. Daredevil does have his own Netflix show featuring Charlie Cox who returns as Matt in this film wearing the same glasses and overall suit style and is confirmed to have his own MCU series releasing as well I think 18 episodes a Season so that's exciting. Also it's just so cool to see Spider-Man cross over with his other self's. The 1990s Spider-Man show did the same thing as well featuring Madam Webb and a bunch of alternate Spider-Men who looked like the Peter from the show but their lives went in different directions not to mention different suits. And of course into the Spider-Verse as well and the comics it was based on it this as well. Flash's Book Reference: Flash's Book is a Fun little nod to the DC comic Flashpoint which featured Barry Allen (Flash) traveling back in time to prevent Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash, from doing a act that changed his life. As a result, a Butterfly Effect-esque “flashpoint” causing radical changes to the DC Universe forming a new timeline. This in a way links to the changes our MCU Peter makes to the villains by “fixing” them he sends them back into newly created universes where they survived which will have many changes from the original universes. On the topic of Flash, he's pretty much the Superhero who started this idea of alternate versions meeting themselves. in Flash of Two Worlds from September 1961 this introduces us to Earth-Two, and more generally the concept of the multiverse, to DC Comics with the appearance of Jay Garrick, Flash of Earth-Two when Bally Allen travels to Earth-Two and meets the Original Golden Age Flash. Timeline stuff: (Free to look over as it's pretty confusing) So just the be clear on the villains. They went back to alternate universes, ones where they survived rather than returning to the main universes we saw in the Rami and Webb films. The actions of Peter in this film does not rewrite the Sam Rami or Marc Webb films those still play out exactly the same. Every choice, action, or decision creates a branched universe an infinite amount so like I mentioned instead of rewriting the history of the films the villains are set back into alternated universes which were created once they left/returned. Spider-Man 1 to 3 of course still happened but there's now at least two different Sam Rami branch universes one where Goblin didn't die and another where Doc Ock somehow survived by finding a different way to stop his machine. Spider-Man 2 would've played out totally different if Norman was still alive who knows maybe Doc Ock's project could've worked in this universe with the help of Norman instead of Harry who really just funded the projected. So it creates a "What If" storyline where things would be different. Notes on the people in the sky below: In that shot of the sky being ripped open you can kind of make out a bunch of Spider-Man villains. The one with the Spear is Kraven The Hunter, The character with the long looking stinger is Scorpion, There's a person who looks kind of like Black Cat, We also see a character with a horn who looks like the classic Rhino in that skin tight suit rather than the militant looking mech suit in Amazing Spider-Man 2, Mysterio which i kind of see could be another Mysterio from a different universe, and finally Superior Spider-Man with the tentacles on his back pretty much a story where Doc Ock took over Peter's Body and became Superior Spider-Man. These are all still up for debate but Mysterio was actually confirmed by Marvel as one of those people in the Sky. Other people think they saw Miles as well a skinny tall humanoid shape which suits his character while other people have brought up Madame Web so there’s a lot of possible hints at future characters.

🔥 cant wait to watch later

Yasss! This'll be fun. I'm guessing you avoided the surprise.

Happy Monday, Addie! 😊 We FINALLY made it to "Spider-Man: No Way Home"!!! As much as I love to other two movies in Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy, this one is my absolute favorite! We not only got the return of some of the villians from Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man movies, but we got the return of Tobey and Andrew themselves! Addie, you are 100% correct. Peter's "really good lawyer" is Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. Tom Holland gives so many fantastic performances during this movie: The scene with May's death. On the roof with Ned, MJ, Peter 2(Tobey), and Peter 3(Andrew). And especially when Peter is fighting Green Goblin after the battle. Fun Fact: It was Andrew Garfield's idea for him, Tobey, and Tom to do the infamous Spider-Man pointing meme during the lab scene. The director wanted to have it in the movie at some point, but couldn't decide where to put it. Andrew thought the lab scene would be a good place for it. And it worked wonderfully in that scene. I love how Peter 2 and Peter 3 got to have a nice moment with Doc Ock and Max before the Green Goblin showed up. And Peter 3 got redemption for not being able to save Gwen when he saved MJ. I read in an interview with either Zendaya or Andrew Garfield that that was the first scene that they filmed together. And Ned has a touch of magic. I loved it when Doctor Strange's cloak saved Ned. I hope that Ned getting trained by Wong is in the future of the MCU. Loved the hug between the three Peters. If you notice, Peter 2 and Peter 3 are sent back to their universes before the spell is complete. So there's a chance that they will end up remembering Peter 1. I always have tears in my eyes when Peter has to say goodbye to Ned and MJ. But I think that they'll see each other again. If you notice after Peter leaves the diner, MJ has that look like something was familiar about him. I love the final suit that Peter wears by the end of the movie. It's speculation that he used Peter 2's spider logo on the front, and Peter 3's spider logo on the back as a way to remember and honor his Spider-Brothers. Also there's speculation, not 100% sure on the timeline, that the moment when you see Peter swing over the ice at Rockefeller Center, it's around the same time that Clint and Kate were fighting the Tracksuits on the ice during the "Hawkeye" finale episode. Again, not 100% sure on that timeline. I think "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is the next movie. Have a great day today! 😊

And I'm about to go on my vacation to NYC tomorrow.

Speaking of Tobey Maguire, I suggest Babylon (2022), although he's barely in it. WARNING⚠️: There will be an EXTENDED SNAKE SCENE in this movie. Please be brave, Addie. You go girl.

Alex Tan

Happy Monday, Addie. Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) is my other favorite Phase 4 MCU movie, alongside Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). I enjoyed seeing it in IMAX 1.90:1 with my girlfriend, this is her favorite of the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. The real moment of awesome was when Ned summons Peter 2 (Tobey Maguire) & Peter 3 (Andrew Garfield), using the sling ring and when Peter 3 saves MJ from falling, redeeming himself from Gwen's death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). However, Aunt May's death and Peter saying goodbye to Ned & MJ before Doctor Strange's spell was casted was real heartbreak at its finest. BTW, I believe that Norman Osborn/Green Goblin from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies was the biggest villain that Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man ever had to face.

Alex Tan

Extremely excited for this!

Rich

Crap, I still have most of the day at work ahead of me... really looking forward to this, after you put in the effort to watch the other stuff.
