John Walker really is a tragic case. He's not fit to be Captain America but not because he's evil, it's cause he's too unstable and he's trained to kill. The government really just used him. They don't know what makes a good Captain America. It's not being some perfect soldier. They don't even realize that he's so messed up, what he does is kill. That's what they made him out to be. It's what he knows, so it's not a shocker he killed one of the Flag Smashers. Hell, they probably wanted him to kill them all, like Valentina said, but because he got caught, they have to act all high and mighty. But John really isn't a bad guy. He is what they made him. Now he's out for Karlis blood, which I can't blame him for at all, but again, it's what he knows. He welded the medal in his shield he's making as a reminder.
