2022-12-18 04:50:09 +0000 UTCAmazing thing - this movie was a failure when first released, it ended up as a public domain movie, something television stations could run for cheap and they started running it as a Christmas perennial and, for want of a better term, it went viral. It got renewed appreciation over time to the point where you cannot imagine Christmas without it. And honestly, regarding James Stewart, who I adore and love as my favorite actor of the classic era, I cannot recommend movies like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance highly enough. If you want Donna Reed in something different, From Here to Eternity will do nicely. But so glad you have been inducted into the Wonderful Life Club and may it continue to be the Christmas lift annually.
