2024-11-22 08:35:13 +0000 UTCSince people have mentioned John Rhys-Davies I must say I watched your reactions to LotR first and then Star Wars and it only seems fitting to start binging Indiana Jones now considering all the shared actors one can find in each trilogy. So now that I watched Sallah and the Fellowship defeat Count Dooku I can look forward to Han Solo & Gimli searching for the Lost Ark for Jek Porkins and soon after, Solo's betrayal by General Veers (with a quick stop to get Admiral Ozzel's autograph) in looking for the Holy Grail. Yes, I had too much fun writing that. Edit: Well, I guess I'll actually be watching the shortened edition of this reaction and moving on to ToD because this is blocked due to copyright.

2024-11-14 00:21:05 +0000 UTCI saw this in the theater when I was 12, with my parents, brother and grandmother. I remember the line to get in went all the way around to the back of the theater, and my father kept complaining about the price of tickets going up 50 cents to $4.50 per ticket. In the end when the faces were melting my grandmother kept trying to cover my eyes, but I was like "COOL!!" I became so incredibly infatuated with Karen Allen after this movie. :D

The scene with the snakes... I don't think I ever wanted to give a movie reactor a hug so badly before this. Haha… Aw. I happen to find snakes fascinating so I guess I would never understand that fear but I sincerely sympathize. Replace the snakes with those big cockroaches and I'd be grimacing and shivering. You were great at still managing to keep your eyes on the screen (mostly) and I appreciate that. It’s a good thing you didn’t see this on the big screen huh?

2022-07-23 23:36:12 +0000 UTCI'll also just add that I was impressed that you recognized that the actor (John Rhys-Davies) playing Sallah having also played Gimli in LOTR without having to be told. 😁 One more bit of trivia: the guy playing the South American guide who attempted to betray Indy at the beginning (only to be killed by the Hovito tribe) also plays the eye-patched 'Monkey Man.'

Of the dozen or so channels I've seen that have been willing to react to the movie, only 3 disliked it outright; 3 more were mixed about it; the others all liked it for the most part.

2022-07-12 07:46:58 +0000 UTC[sigh] Before I die, I hope *some* reactor will have the cajones to actually react to "Temple of Doom" first (given that it takes place first), and, thus, experience Indy's full character arc from A to B (TimotheeReacts may be my last immediate hope). People evolve in a straight line, after all, NOT in a zig-zag pattern. So tired of this ridiculous 'release order fundamentalism' among movie reaction spectators. 🤔 That said, I still enjoyed your reaction as always. 🙂
