Very nice reaction, dear Rana! I like this song in the version from Eminem, but your feeling about an 80ies rock vibe was right. In fact, it is based on a famous song from Aerosmith called Dream On, originally even from the year 1973! Later on, I think in 2006, they did a remake with the title Sing for the moment, which Eminem covered then... Fun Fact: Dream On was also on the soundtrack of the movie Armageddon, where the daughter of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, Liv Tyler, was playing a main role. The world is small sometimes....:-)
