This piece would not be out of place at the art school that I went to. Bowls of fruit are nice to paint and critique on a technical level, but this is obviously a very personal piece and if I had to guess, the creation process was as important as the final work. One thing that I noticed is what appears to be a looming blue figure on the right side. It looks like this happened by accident (partially with your friend's 'assistance'), but if you can pick it out, I think it's representative of the anxiety and fear of what we might find over the horizon as we venture into the unknown. I don't understand very much about painting, but your picture has got me somehow from the first moment I have seen it... it contains your personality, your thoughts and your feelings, and for my recognition the picture expresses it very well. I like it a lot, and I totally disagree with your art teacher! I think you are very talented in different areas, please never stop doing what you like and what you feel, and don't listen to people who tell you what you can't do!

2021-04-14 16:12:53 +0000 UTCIt is a good painting, did a very good on the shadows. As an artist myself, I guessed a few things right and off on others. One thing I did notice, among all the chaos, on the distant horizon looks like the sun is starting to rise. Never stop doing what makes you happy! Kind of like the one video where you dipped painted the watermelon, looks like you had fun, until you had to taste it.
