On the current changes

let me be the first to say that, I have been really, really happy with all of the support thus far. It's been a really wonderful feeling to be able to support the many people who have been willing to work with me on making these games and ideas a reality, and it wouldn't be possible without you guys as support.

...On the other hand, the current changes towards Patreon and pledges in general makes me understand fully if many of you would deem it wiser to back out now. This was always a tip jar, something I could use to give back towards the people who for many years worked with me without asking for a cent otherwise, and I'd like to say the recent work flow from many of them have seen a positive increase, even from me where I'm not so overly stressed out about bills and other matters, and I can kinda just -work-. But if that has to come towards an end thanks towards this funding refinement so Patreon can toss a lot of the lower pledges under a bus, then so be it.

I myself favored the older system where those charges where more out of my final total, then they where on the supporters end. It's something I should be taking into account when I do my own taxes and what not, but shifting this onto the supporters is...It's not going to end well I fear. Still, I wanted to at lest let you guys know that I will understand if you feel like it might be safe to cut funding, or watch how this plays out in the coming weeks. But I wanted to also say thanks for sticking with me this long.

There was also a small update with some good news on the workblog for those that missed it, and remember that I'll be streaming Fri-Sat from now on, so come on by and watch tomorrow!

well it may be a bit more annoying but id like to see more stuff from you so whatever.

Well I thank you for it! But yeah, if nothing else even just bringing this towards light seemed like a good idea as I don't think everyone was even keeping up with the changes Patreon was doing.

They now place the transaction charge on the supporters, instead of the creators. So you'll be paying 2%+35 cents on every donation you preform. So $1 now becomes $1.37 and $10 is $10.57. This does far more in the long run to hurt smaller donations then anything.

I didn't know they changed something :o

Dont think I will stop, but might slightly cut down the initial pledge by a few cents to balance against the change.
