New Camp Ranger Part 01

“Why do I have to show the newbie around,” groaned Jesse. The large bulky man leaned against his truck as he stared down his boss. He’d been promoted to trail ranger a few years ago and it seemed like out of all of them, he was the only one ever allowed to train new recruits.

“Cause you’re the best I’ve got,” the boss replied without looking up from his notes.

“Whatever…” he dismissed. “Like the beard though. Trying to look more masculine round the rest of us?” Jesse felt like there was something a bit off about his boss but he couldn’t quite place what it was. They’d been around each other for ages. Working the old trails, not much ever changed. Usually just a bit rounder of a belly while waiting around for something to happen. New guys started all the time but eventually moved up the ranks or to a different more populated trail.

“Fuck off,” the boss cursed. His deep grizzly voice would send shivers down nearly anyone’s spine. “Just keep the attitude to a minimum. Seems like this one might stay a while.”

“Oh?” Jesse questioned.

In the distance a big black truck came down the old dirt road. Rocks were picked up by the tires as he pulled in front of the wooden welcome center. It was their home base. But honestly because of the small size of the trail grounds there weren’t many amenities. The flushable toilets were a god send as the first couple years Jesse worked there he had to go out and squat over a hole.

Out of the jeep popped a small guy in the forest green suit required by the state department. He had to jump down a good couple feet to actually get out of his truck. His scrawny frame didn’t look like anything that would be of use in a dangerous situation. “You’ve got to be shitting me…”

“Be nice,” his boss ordered. “Donnie! Glad you could make it. Hopefully it wasn’t too hard to find.”

Jesse was taken aback by the overly friendly attitude his boss was giving to the new guy. They weren’t in that much of a need of someone new. And this guy seemed far from a perfect fit. His boss was still acting like this was some kind of perfect fit.

“Yes sir!” he said dutifully. Donnie’s bright eyes shined as though he was telling the truth. “I’m sorry about the interview though… Sometimes I get a little carried away.”

“Nonsense buddy! It was a great interview. You did a great job.”

“Thanks…” he ran his hand behind his neck. “I’m glad I can be of service.” There was a bit of a nervous laugh between some of his words. However it was his more innocent sounding voice that made Jesse all the more untrusting. He’d seen city kids like this before. Think that because they were in some cabin in a forest with running water and a stone campfire built by the campgrounds that they knew what it was like to actually survive in the wild. Not that Jesse was one who did that all that much based off how small his campgrounds were but he understood the dangers of a camper going missing, or how easy it was to lose your way in the forest.

“You did far more than I ever expected,” his boss smiled again. “This will be who you’re working with today. Jesse. Donnie.” He put his palms out implying they should shake.

“Hey,” Jesse answered gruffly.

“Hi! I’m happy to start working with you,” there was a glisten in Donnie’s eye as he said it. Normally the bright eyed shtick would have turned Jesse off but his pure innocence and willingness to be there did the exact opposite.

Jesse caught his glimmer of hope and tried to bash it down. The faint smile he’d gotten turned right back to his usual tough guy frown. “Same,” he grunted.

His boss stepped between the two. “Why don’t you go get ready in there and we’ll follow you in.”

“Right!” Donnie headed for the welcome center.

They waited for him to be inside. “He’s going to be fine…”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“But you were thinking it. I know you were. He may not seem like much but he’s going to be fine.”

“Uh-huh.”

“Just give him a day. I’m sure you’ll see why I hired by then.”

There was an odd way his boss said that. “Alright. Whatever…” he rolled his eyes as he headed into the small welcome center. Inside, Donnie was patiently waiting behind the counter. His small boy leaned into it hard. “Alright!” Jesse asserted himself and instantly the younger man drew to attention. He stiffened every muscle in his body as he looked up and down his new boss. Part of Jesse liked the idea of him being so attentive.

He cocked a grin. ‘Might be easier than I thought…’ “Follow me.” Donnie followed the order perfectly and kept exactly 3 paces behind the larger man. Even added a, ‘yes sir.’ Jesse led him to the back of the small building where a fire pit and chairs were set up for guests. It was a popular attraction for people who didn’t know how to set one up on their own. But the night prior some kids seemed to have gotten into it and thought it’d be fun to throw the ashes around. Hot enough to cause a light amount of pain but not enough for any real damage.

“This is what we’ll start with. It’s not usually this bad. But Matt had a bit more to do last night and couldn’t get around to it. Just glad he got some more water on it. Hate to have some kind of fire,” Jesse laughed as he set up some of the chairs around the fire pit. He looked over at Donnie who was staring at him with an amazing amount of intent. “Something wrong bud?”

“No sir!” Donnie panicked and grabbed the broom against the wall and started sweeping up some of the ashes. His entire posture shifted to a far less comfortable one. Moreover it looked more like he was refusing to look at Jesse rather than paying attention to what he was doing.

“No reason to be so startled kid,” Jesse laughed. Donnie gave a half-hearted one back. He seemed nervous all of a sudden and Jesse wasn’t sure why. Kind of made him a bit cuter. ‘The fuck you thinking about Jesse?’ he scolded himself. He looked over at Donnie again who quickly averted his eyes again. “You sure nothing’s wrong, bud?” Again with the nickname. Normally Jesse didn’t give any to anyone other than tourists to make him seem more friendly. Or intimidating if the occasion called for it. But never to the other staff.

“No sir. It’s just first day nerves,” Donnie lied.

Jesse did his best to ignore it but there was obviously something there. He watched as the kid tried his best not to look over to him. His small frame so carefully sweeping up each and every little piece of charcoal left on the patio. Jesse felt himself getting a little hard. The front of his green pants had a bit of a tent that he swiped down. His eyes were trained on the younger man. He watched each and every movement Donnie did.

“Sir?”

The moment was lost. Jesse realized his mind was running wild. “Shit,” he shook his head for a second trying to get back to reality. Sweat started to drip from his brow and down the rest of his body. Enough to stain his undershirt but not enough to seep through. But there was a sudden uncomfortableness about what he was wearing. Every piece of his clothing tugged against his body. Even his steal toed shoes felt like they were a half size too small.

“Sir?” Donnie asked again. “I’m finished sweeping the charcoal. And I set up the chairs.”

Jesse looked around him to see the patio set back up to the way it was supposed to be. “Right.” He was more focused on the sweat dripping from his body. “The patio,” with a deep breath he looked around again. “You did a good job kid.”

“Thank you sir!”

“No problem kid,” Jesse ruffled Donnie’s shaggier hair. The 20 year old seemed to like it. “So how’d you get ole Rodger to get you this job? Suck his dick or something?”

“I mean he was the one who asked…”

The honesty of the question caught Jesse off guard. It brought back the thoughts of what he was doing was weird. “You any good at it?” His eyes went wide. That wasn’t what he wanted to ask. He was supposed to change the subject. Emphasize that it was a joke. Anything!

“You wanna ask Rodger?”

Donnie was toying with him now. His small body leaned up against Jesse’s much larger one, running his hand up and down his side. The same bright eyes he’d seen earlier were staring right up at him. He seemed so innocent but so mature. Blood started rushing down to Jesse’s penis again. He wanted to see that sweet mouth around his cock.

“Well?”

The front door opened ringing the bell. It was Matt. “Hey, sorry I’m late. It was a late night last night. I tried to get everything cleaned up by that jackasses but it was just getting too late.” He stared at the two. Donnie was pretty much clinging onto Jesse’s body. “Am I…”

“No… No!” Jesse pushed Donnie away from him. The sweat on his brow only seemed to double. “It’s fine. I know you had a lot to clean up. We’ve got the patio done. Just going to work on some other stuff real quick. By the way. This is Donnie. The new guy. I need to go to the bathroom. Be right back.”

“Everything alright?” Matt asked.

Jesse didn’t pay it any mind as he rushed to the bathroom. “Fuck…” he groaned as he splashed cold water against his face. It was so weird. He could still visualize that small guy all over his cock. “What’s wrong with you!” Never in his life had he thought about another guy like this. It was so strange all of a sudden. He splashed another splash of water into his face. “Calm down… Just calm down…”

Finally he was able to breathe a little bit. His mind wasn’t on the one track of Donnie anymore. Jesse could actually think about something else. “Jesus…” he cupped his hands in the sink to get a drink of water this time. The calm let him look himself in the mirror. “What the…” his mouth hung open as he looked over his face. It was different. Not by a whole lot but he could knew every wrinkle he’d gained over the years and nearly every one of them was gone. None of them were under his eyes or around his cheeks.

“There’s no way…” even his beard was thicker. Normally he kept it trimmed against his face, just enough to give him a solid jawline but right now it looked to be at least two inches thick maybe even three. He could easily run his thick fingers through it. “There’s no way…” he repeated as he stood up. Almost the weight around his belly seemed to have transferred to his chest, shoulders and arms.

“What’s going on… What’s going on…” Jesse repeated as he felt the tightness in his clothes again. Everything about them was starting to restrict his movement. It was hard to think about anything else as his feet were crammed inside the hiking boots. He kicked them off, releasing the building pressure. “Fuck…” he groaned as he stretched them out. “This can’t be real.” Putting his foot on top of the boot he could tell they were at least a size too small for him. But what had happened. He was still so confused.

“Yo!” Matt knocked on the door. “So apparently those assholes did some stuff at one of the campsites. I’m going to take Donnie over and help clean it up.”

“Alright,” Jesse answered back. He wasn’t sure what else he could say. If Donnie stayed around him too much longer he knew he was going to fuck him.
