Business Bet

Mr. Hendricks called me to his office again. It was the third time this week. I knew it wasn’t anything that I’d screwed up, but rather his daft son who never wanted to even work at this stupid company. So now I was busy doing the work of two people while his son sat on the office computers playing video games. Even now as I pass his desk I can see him leaning back in his chair with his game controller plugged in.

“In trouble again Davis?” Leo asked me. There was a biting criticism in his words. I cringed at them but didn’t acknowledge him. His laugh as I continued walking to his father’s office just made me even angrier. I wanted to quit. Oh how lovely a day that would be. But there was no way I could. Moving to a new city, I’d spent more on a place than I’d meant to and was stuck in a lease I couldn’t get out of. And even if I did quit, he’d just be passed on to the next poor employee with just as much work. I stiffened my upper lip and opened my boss’ door.

“Davis,” Mr. Hendricks voice was angry. It was always angry. “Is there a reason why the Davis reports weren’t finished until 11:45 last night?”

He loomed in the corner. The window cast him in silhouette while I still stood in the doorway. “Sir, I’m not sure what the problem is. I was told they were due before the 3rd and I accomplished that.”

“You did,” he started pacing. “That you did. But just barely. I’d prefer you to be a bit more diligent when it comes to your work. You seem like a slacker. I don’t like slackers in my business.”

“Then you should do something about your son,” I muttered under my breath.

He stopped, mid-step, and turned around. “What was that!” his voice raised as a glare appeared in his eye.

“What was what?” a series of breathy laughs escaped my mouth as I realized what I just said. I don’t know why I said it. It just came out. The mixture of anger and resentment for such a lazy employee that I had to deal with on a daily basis was just too much.

Mr. Hendricks wasn’t playing around. He slowly walked across the room. His pace even but each step felt like another threat. “What did you just say.”

I felt a heavy piece of saliva fall down my throat as I tried to swallow. “I’m not… I don’t…” I tried to think of a lie. Something that could sound somewhat similar. Somewhat plausible. But nothing came to mind. I tried to steal my emotions but each word still came out with a shake in my voice. “Maybe you should think about talking to your son? You know he was on my team too. It wasn’t just me.”

“But you were the one in charge. Were you not?”

“I was,” I felt a little bit of courage at the implication. What Mr. Hendricks failed to realize was that you can’t lead someone unwilling to follow. His son had laughed at any attempt I had taken to try to get him to work. Even the simplest of tasks and he’d just brush it off, saying it wasn’t his problem. I had learned fast that asking him was more of a waste of time than doing it myself.

“Then explain how it was my son’s fault? If you were not a proper leader then how is my son supposed to be able to follow?” It was clearly a trick question to designed to throw me off.

“Because your son was the one who wanted to lead me,” I lied. It was the only way out of this situation. “I didn’t want to have to tell you this but many of the decisions were your sons not mine. I thought giving him a bit more of a leadership role would help him but maybe I was mistaken. Maybe he’s not ready to be a leader yet. So you are right. It was my fault. I suppose I thought he was more accomplished than he actually was. Please forgive me for my arrogance.”

The corner of Mr. Hendricks’ mouth raised just enough to tell me that he was not pleased. However my words had a bit of sting to them. He wasn’t a man who admitted defeat. He wasn’t someone who would let criticism of his son stand like that. “You don’t think my son can handle a leadership role?”

“The problem is that I thought he could.”

I could see his anger boiling over. “What?!” he roared in my face. Even with the door closed I knew the other workers could hear him. He wasn’t known for being quiet. However he backed off. That sudden burst of anger quickly softened to something more seething. More sinister. He let out a laugh. Then it became creepy. “How much would you like to bet?” Mr. Hendricks asked.

“B-bet?” I stuttered back to him.

“Yes. Bet. How much would you like to bet that he could run this company better than you?” Mr. Hendricks was looking down on me. “There’s a special test that I can give to him. If he scores, let’s say, 70% on it, I win. If he scores less? You win. How does that sound?”

“When’s the test?”

“End of the day. Don’t want to screw up any productivity.”

“What’s it on?”

“Just day to day things. What to do if something goes wrong. What his role is. What’s expected of him. Etc. Etc.”

“And if I lose?”

“Your job.”

I paused. I could see his slick grin growing wider. Each second looking even more maniacal. 70% wasn’t a score to sneeze at but at the same time a lot of questions could be incredibly easy. But if he really didn’t pay attention he might not know them. Just being here, most people would be able to pick up what they were expected to do. However, even if Leo was present, he sure as hell wasn’t here.

“Well..?” Mr. Hendricks seemed incredibly pleased with himself.

“And if I win?”

“That’s up to you. I won’t make you decide right now but I would like an answer before we get started,” he could see a twinkle in my eye. “If it’s in my power, I’ll make sure you can get it.”

“Deal.” I said firmly. But I had to do my best to keep my mouth from dropping. That was a Hendricks’ promise. The last person who got one of those was given a year vacation in Hawaii, fully paid for. There was no way I could turn something like that down. He was a powerful man. And I was about to get a rule free wish from him. “However,” his eyebrow cocked at the idea that I may have an objection, “you aren’t allowed to tell him about the test.”

“I think that sounds fair to me,” he smiled and pushed me out the door. “See you at 5:30.” Then slammed said door.

With the door closed I nearly collapsed from the sudden release of adrenaline. My body had been tight as the conversation went on. I couldn’t believe what I’d just done. I’d just told my boss off. I’d just made a deal with him. I just might have gotten myself fired! My eyes went wide and I rushed to the bathroom to wash my face. I couldn’t think about anything else. My mind was racing. My heart, even faster. It was near impossible to know what was going to happen.

I splashed the water in my face. “Calm down…” I gave myself a ferocious face in the mirror. “Calm down… It’s alright. You just told him the truth. That’s all you did. Everything will be fine…” I kept repeating a light mantra to ease my fear. Taking a deep breath I steeled my emotions. I wasn’t going to let this get to me. “Alright!” I tried to put my confident voice on as I fixed my posture. “You’ll be fine.” I told myself as I’d worked up the courage to actually leave the bathroom.

Heading back to my desk I was stopped by Vince, one of the receptionists. “Hey Davis. Looks like you’ve gotten yourself a secret admirer… Or are you just ordering packages at work to check out the delivery guy?” He jabbed.

“Like I’d do that…” I laughed at the joke but it hadn’t been completely false. That delivery guy was rather handsome and with an ass to boot. I’d gotten lost staring at it as he walked out of the office on many occasions.

However, Vince was currently staring at me. “So… What’d you get?” he pried.

“Dunno…” I muttered. I hadn’t actually ordered anything recently and the return address had been scratched off.

“Then open it,” he laughed grabbing the scissors off his desk. I grabbed the scissors out of his hand and slid the blade across the tape. There was a surprising amount of packing peanuts shoved in the box. I grabbed Vince’s trash can and just started shoving them down in there. Once I got to the bottom of the box I saw what I was supposed to have. It looked like some kind of charm bracelet girls would make when they were at a slumber party. “Ooo!” now Vince was encouraged. “Looks like you do have some kind of secret admirer. Go on try it on!” he goaded me.

I groaned still looking through the package. This didn’t make any sense to me. I hadn’t ordered anything like this. However after a little more digging I found a note to accompany the strange gift. ‘I have been told you are currently burdened with telling many lies. Please accept this gift. When you are wearing this, any lies spoken will become truth.’

“Huh??” I questioned the motive.

“What’s it say?” Vince grabbed it from me and started reading it. “Go on. Try it out!” he laughed.

“What? No. That’s stupid. Why would that ever be a thing?”

“I don’t know. But what do you have to lose?” Vince shrugged. I figured he just wanted to see me wearing the stupid multicolored wrist band so he could mock me later. “Go on!” he grabbed my wrist and started tying it. “Okay. Now guess how old I am.”

I knew he was 24. But most people said he looked far younger. He’d just graduated and was looking to get hired in the IT department but Mr. Hendricks shoved him at the front desk. Said his outgoing and bubbly energy would have gone to waste in such a place. Instead he was now working almost the same job for a third of what he was supposed to be paid. “19,” I leaned over the desk waiting for him to make fun of me.

“That’s right!” he smiled standing up. “How’d you know? Look at my file recently? Most people say I don’t even think I look that.”

“It’s cause your boyish good looks and boisterous personality,” I added to the joke. “Anyways, I’ve got to get back to work…”

“Alright, Mr. Miller.” I paused. He never called me that. I figured he must have been really playing up the joke. Being four years older than him didn’t seem like he would ever call me Mr. Miller. I just made me feel old. I went and sat down at my desk. However my eyes kept wandering back to the receptionist. I couldn’t help but feel like something was a little different about him. Like he did look a little younger. I rolled by eyes but found myself checking the database just to make sure. Call it paranoia but I’m glad I did. I looked at the year he was born. And it wasn’t the same as it had been.

“Fuck…” I found myself saying. I searched through all his files and it still said he’d been working here for a year but that he was nineteen and the company was helping him pay for some of his tuition so he might be able to go into the IT department. I stared at the screen. There was no way he could have been able to change something like that; especially in such a short period of time. “Vince is 24,” I muttered to myself. I made sure to keep my voice down so no one would think that I was crazy. I didn’t know what I was expecting but nothing happened. His birthdate stayed the same and he still looked like he was 19.

“God… Why am I so stupid..?” I muttered to myself again as I headed back up to Vince.

“Hey, Mr. Miller. I don’t have any more packages for you,” Vince said.

“I know… I just wanted to talk.”

Vince looked a little concerned. “I don’t think Mr. Hendricks would like that very much.”

“He’ll be fine with it. We aren’t disturbing anyone else. I just wanted to talk…” I wasn’t sure what to say after that. I’d found myself into a conversation loop. And it was one of my own making. “I like what you do with your hair. The spikes?” I said, even gesturing to my own pushing the front up to demonstrate. I wasn’t sure what else to do. Some of my awkward tendencies were coming out in full force.

However in that second I could see the front of his hair starting to pull up and spike just like I’d said. His short cropped hair usually laid flat but now there was clearly some gel holding the front up. “Yeah? I think it looks pretty cool,” he laughed at the unexpected complement.

“I’d say so. But I bet you were pretty cool in high school too. Playing football, wrestling and shotput; that must have been a full schedule,” I said to him. I cringed at the statement but didn’t know how to work it in more casually. However he wasn’t disappointed as he saw what was happening to the 19 year old receptionist. Instantly his body started bulking up with all sorts of muscle. The polo and khakis he wore stretched tightly across his frame as his body grew in every direction. Strong dense muscle pushed his clothing to its limits. And it was just an added bonus that he preferred wearing clothes a half size too small over a half size too large.

“Yeah…” he laughed, running his hand behind his neck. His bicep flexed, stretching the sleeve of his shirt. “It was pretty busy. But I’d say it paid off.”

“Sure did. I see why you like working out so much,” I said. His arms seemed to gain another inch in size, but his shirt didn’t get any bigger. Just sitting there the seams seemed be pushed even harder, tightening around his body. “Natural size. Probably started the second you were allowed to join a gym.” I watched as he grew even more. Every part of him bulged. He clearly needed another size up but loved the way people looked at him more. My mouth was starting to water as I could see those heavy pecs begging to be set free.

However, I heard Mr. Hendricks’ door open. He looked over at us and then closed it again. My eyes drifted over to Leo. “Whelp… Guess I’ve got to get back to work…” I said starting to walk away.

“Really?” Vince stood up and leaned his solid 250 pound body over the counter. “We were just starting to talk. And like you said, Mr. Hendricks won’t mind.”

“I know… I know… But I’ve got some things I still want to do,” I kept it vague so it wouldn’t cause anything to really change. I might have accidently given myself some more work if I wasn’t too careful about how I phrased my sentences. Vince sat back down and pulled out his phone again. He didn’t have too much to do right now. I just headed back to my desk and tried to keep from touching myself. My dick had gone hard watching his subtle brags about his size. I was still in disbelief. ‘He’d just doubled in size! And it’s all muscle!’ My eyes went wide as I stared at my screen. My hand wouldn’t leave my cock as I thought about his muscular body was running through my head.

The only thing that could bring me back down to reality was Leo. “Talking to your boyfriend?” he sneered in my direction. His lean body leaned against my cubicle wall, looking down at me.

“I wish…” I muttered to myself. “I mean… He’s not my boyfriend. He’s happily dating the girl of his dreams.” I lied again. Vince was always a pretty good guy. Might as well give him what he wants.

“Ehh… Just figured the way you look at him there was something a little more there. He’s so obsessed with his body that it’s just kind of natural. Y’know?” Leo picked at his fingers mocking the two of us at the same time.

I grinded my teeth trying not to say something I’d regret. Staring at his arrogant little face just made me even angrier. “To my knowledge, he’s never thought about it. If he was willing, I’d be more than happy to though.”

“Oh-ho!” Leo grinned even wider. “So you have thought about it.”

“Course I have. I’m gay. But that doesn’t explain why you’ve thought about it,” I paused watching his eyes go wide as I call him out. I could see his gears starting to rewrite on his face as he fervently wanted to deny ever even glancing at another man in a sexual way. “You can deny it all you want, but I can see. Vince sees it too. Just ignores it though. Says he’s used to guys staring at him.”

“I don’t,” Leo’s voice cracked. He cleared his throat out trying to get ahold of himself. “I don’t look at him that way,” he said with a bit more baritone.

“But that’s why you go to the same gym as him. Right?” I asked. Again, he tried to say something in his defense but couldn’t think of anything. However, I also got to watch him grow a little bit. It wasn’t too noticeable, but there was definitely some muscle starting to form underneath his shirt.

“I don’t look at Vince,” he lied again. I could see some blush form around his cheeks.

“I’m just joking dude. Lighten up,” I could see him relax as the thoughts of guys started to disappear from his mind. “I know he’s not your favorite body type to look at. You prefer guys smaller than you. That’s why you go to the gym so often. Started as a hobby to prove your masculinity but it really was just a way of hiding how you truly felt. Every time some guy smaller than you walked into the gym, your eyes drift over to him, following him wherever he goes. That’s why you work out with Vince so much. You can actually focus on the workout instead of the other guys in the gym. Right?”

I watched as his body started to grow more and more. Muscle added onto muscle as his shoulders broadened across the cubicle divider. I could see his hands gripping the soft card board, nearly breaking it under the sudden revelations. “It’s not like that bro,” Leo grunted. “I don’t like men…”

“Oh?” a devious smile crossed my mouth as I thought about what to say next. Watching the confidence roll off his face felt better than I thought it would have. Especially on his now larger body. Just standing there, he was able to look stronger than most walls but right now he looked so nervous as I called him out more. “That’s why you wanted to work with me though. I know you told your dad it was because you wanted to learn from me. But the way Vince says you talk about me… Well, I don’t know many straight guys who talk about other guys like that.”

“Vince said he’d keep it a secret!” Leo was getting even more nervous. His eyes shot a glare at Vince but there was a more nervousness about it.

“So he wasn’t lying,” Leo’s attention shot back at me realizing what he’d just admitted. “Don’t worry I could kind of tell. You started here so professionally. Full business attire. Black suite. Black pants. Black shoes. But it clearly wasn’t going to last. Even that first day I could see you pulling at your collar. You couldn’t keep your jacket on for more than a few minutes at a time. And you walked around the office in your socks instead of your shoes. But after seeing those feet I understand why. Finding shoes must be near impossible as those giant things into a normal sized shoe.”

Below him his feet grew exceptionally large. Even for his muscular body, they grew at least a couple sizes too big for him. He flexed his toes in his socks. “I try…” he muttered.

“Try?” I laughed at him. “Wearing a black workout uniform isn’t trying. And flip flops aren’t proper business attire. I know they’re about the only comfortable form of footwear you can wear… But I think you can try better.” He looked down over his massive chest seeing his barren feet in standing in black flip flops. “I know you keep telling your Mr. Hendricks your trying but there just has to come a time where you realize you aren’t made for this kind of work. We both know it’ll disappoint him. He has such high hopes for you but you just don’t like working with computers or anything that doesn’t deal with your hands.”

Leo looked down and saw the dirt starting to form underneath his nails. His entire life was changing right before his eyes. All he ever wanted to do was play video games, but now he couldn’t stop thinking about working outside. Working with other guys like himself. It was too hard to keep from touching himself with all these weaker guys walking around. The only guy he could talk to without popping a boner was Vince but they didn’t have much to talk about other than working out. “Yeah… But dad’s gonna be so mad…”

I stood up and wrapped my arm around his wide shoulders trying to comfort him. “I know buddy. But it’s for the best. You don’t want to be here. There’s no reason for you to keep trying so hard when you know you’d prefer working in construction or on cars.”

“But dad wants me to be just like him,” his reasoning was getting simpler. He wasn’t trying to think of ways to talk his way out of the situation anymore.

My hand rubbed the muscles on his back. He let out some soft moans with each stroke I gave him. It took me a second to think of what I wanted to say. “Are you sure you’re even his?” it was mean but I loved it. He looked back at me shocked. “I mean that maybe that’s why you two are so different. You’re nothing like him. Tall. Broad shouldered. A bit dense. But caring and nice. You barely even look like him except for your dark hair. I know it’s a little sudden, but what if, even to you, Mr. Hendricks is just Mr. Hendricks? That even though he raised you he’s not your biological father.”

Leo’s mind was mulling it over. He didn’t want to admit it. Everything about his being was trying to tell him that wasn’t right but he was starting to accept it. Reality was shifting to where Mr. Hendricks was his father in name only. Instead his mother must have found pleasure from someone else. Mr. Hendricks obviously still raised him, as he would never allow himself to not be seen as in control of his life.

“You two are just so different,” I continued. “You like big trucks, going outside, sports, hanging out with friends and he prefers to be at work. Is it really that hard to believe? Just look at how much taller than him you are. A good six inches and I’d bet you almost weigh twice as much. Filled with muscle and power. He’s cold and calculating. You’re warm and fun to be around. Even if you aren’t as worried about complex things as him.” I was pulling in closer. My hands moving more around his body. I worked my way in between him and the cheap cubicle wall. “And handsome too.”

I smiled as his jawline thickened and brow broadened out. He had a simple feel to him while still looking full of intent. I leaned forward, preparing for a kiss. He leaned down over me pulling in even closer. I could feel his dick pressing against the side of my leg. I undid my belt and pants, helping him move even further. He leaned down. His hands got to work. I could feel the strength in them working over my shaft.

“You almost make me feel like I’m a normal sized,” I joked. But as I said it I could feel my dick growing even larger in his hand, filling his mitts. “Oh gawd,” I fell back into my chair trying to keep my voice down. Even though most the cubicles started to clear out I didn’t want to bother anyone else. I tried to look down through the pleasure of each stroke. The average dick that I’d had blossomed into something I didn’t even realize was possible. I could see the tip poking out from the end of his hands as he did his best to hold onto the thick member inside.

He kneeled down on his massive legs giving himself a better angle. “You really are good with your hands. Probably the best,” I joked again. Instantly another wave of pleasure shot through my system as he continued going. Somehow the already good hand job had just doubled over. Tiny adjustments that I couldn’t even fathom and I was near falling out of my chair.

“Thanks,” he smiled up at me with a stupid grin plastered on his face. He was taunting me now. Watching my body squirm in the office chair as he continued to masturbate my cock. Each shiver went down my spine seemed to just encourage him even more. My body shook as he continued. I couldn’t hold onto it any longer. My hips bucked and I felt my body shake. Huge spews of cum erupted from my cock, plastering his chest with my jizz. I let out an uproarious grunt.

As I came down I couldn’t help but mutter a, “fuck yeah…” I came to and saw just how much I’d splattered him with. I grabbed a tissue, “sorry…” I said trying to wipe it away. It clearly wasn’t enough. I grabbed another.

“It’s alright man,” he said as he looked down at the large white stain. “Barely noticeable.”

“It’s not…” I said. Thing is I wasn’t lying so nothing changed the large white stain could be seen even easier because of his black shirt.

Then, to completely pull us back to reality, I heard Mr. Hendricks’ voice echo through the near empty office building. “It’s five o’clock. Leo, Davis come to my office.”

Leo followed me into the large office at the end of the hall. Even though he was so large he seemed so intimidated by the space. Even more so now that his father seemed to be a little more strict. However, that might have been his anger from the improper dress code. But I couldn’t complain. Seeing Leo’s massive body stretching the workout shirt to its limits looked pretty good. But I couldn’t help but think what he may look like in a suite. Or at least bursting out of one. I paused as Mr. Hendricks’ called us further into the office.

“Sit here,” he told Leo. “I have a test for you. Pass and I’ll be very proud of you.” His eyes kept drifting to the stain on Leo’s shirt. A clear glare as he knew what it was.

Leo was almost visibly sweating as he approached his father. It was kind of funny watching his massive size shrink down in the presence of a man half his size and twice his age. A simple punch would have been enough to send the older man to the hospital for at least a month but Leo wasn’t like that. I’d make sure of that.

Mr. Hendricks continued his speech. “What’s in front of you is a simple test. Prove that you learned something while you’ve been working here.”

I watched Leo struggle as he looked over even the first question. He had no idea what it was. I’d made sure of that as well. He scratched at his head and tried to figure it out but nothing was coming to him. He turned to his father. “I don’t know…” he muttered under his breath. “I don’t think I should do this…”

“What.” Normally a question the single word came out as a statement. Biting with intense criticism and disappointment. “What do you mean you don’t think you should be doing this?”

“It’s just… uhh… I haven’t really done any work while I was here… I kind of made Davis do it all…” Leo admitted. His head hung low and he couldn’t look at his dad. But at the same time he’d just admitted to what I had been complaining about earlier. “I think I should go to a technical college…”

Mr. Hendricks went red with anger. The sheer embarrassment from thinking his son had been capable but not even able to answer a single question. And even worse asking to do something that would lead to manual labor. “WHAT!?” he shouted. “Has your mother been putting these crazy ideas in your head again? I knew I shouldn’t have let you have so many things. I spoiled you. God damn it!” Mr. Hendricks threw a paper weight off his desk in no general direction.

I took a few steps towards the desk. Mr. Hendricks leaned over his desk. Anger seemed to be pouring out of him. He was grumbling curses underneath his breath. “I’m sure you’re happy now,” his head snapped to me. I jumped back feeling a sense of blood lust coming from him. “You get your one God damn request. How’s it feel?! Huh?” he started walking towards me. Each step he took toward me I took one back. “Huh! Answer me when I’m talking to you. I don’t know how you did it but I know you did something to my son. Out with it.” My back was against the door. I put more of my weight against the wall as he was mere inches from my face.

“He didn’t do anything that I wasn’t already thinking,” Leo interrupted his father. He put his massive arm between us and pushed his dad out of the way, putting himself between us. “Davis just got me thinking about what I should be doing, instead of what you want me to be doing.”

A good few seconds passed before Mr. Hendricks anger died down. The blood lust turned back into his normal angry self. “You win…” he said, defeated. “What do you want?”

I paused. I’d just won the bet. I could have just about anything from Mr. Hendricks and I wouldn’t even have to use magic to do it. “I want to marry your son.”

“What?!” Mr. Hendricks shouted again. He turned around but instead of seeing me, his face was right in front of Leo’s chest.

“He wants to marry me too,” I added. “Right?”

“Right,” Leo confirmed. He pushed his dad back again.

“Do what you want,” Mr. Hendricks waved us off. “See if I fucking care… Worthless piece of shit can’t do anything right anyways.” He headed back to his desk and pulled out a pen and some stationary. But there was something different about him. He almost seemed to have lost all of his anger. Instead it was filled with a solemn remorse. “Hell maybe it’s for the best. Need someone competent enough to run this place when I get too old. And Leo isn’t going to do it. So meh…”

A sudden urge to celebrate came over my body as I realized I’d just won. However I wouldn’t show that in front of Mr. Hendricks. After all I did still have to work with him. “Thank you sir.” I put my hand on the door.

“By the way boys,” Mr. Hendricks stopped us. “Remember to never upset a witch…”

“What?” I asked but Leo was rushing me out.

“Can you believe it?!” he said happily. “I’ve never done anything like that before. And you want to marry me!?” Leo was starting to get worked up. “Let’s go get some dinner and we can talk about it some more.” Seeing the happiness on his face I couldn’t help but feel like this was the right thing to do.
